Some interesting, quirky and downright odd dashboards in Classic & Sports Car here: CLICK.

A shame manufacturers are (probably?) forced to make them all pretty much the same these days.
Elf and Safety I suspect.

Interesting that there are two Citroens in that list, but no mention of the CX. My father had a GTi as his company car, and even as a four year old I knew there was something a bit mad about them

With regards the E24 6-series, I believe this and other BMWs of the era actually showed the way forward in terms of dashboard design, some of which is still in evidence with other car manufacturers today

Snap! Randy got there before me with the CX

Nobody would buy a modern car with an interior like those (ok, apart from 1 or 2 on here who claim they would).

Had a C4 VTS many years back as a company car, always thought it was quirky with the centre section and buttons of the steering wheel static. Also the high level centre display panel that was all electronic. All a bit nuts when it came out.

My Dad nearly bought a new AM Lagonda as the dash reminded him of his B&O stereo.

Alfa 90's was a quirky one too!

Rubbish !
Some people aren't boring and follow the herd and like quirky.

The Mark 1 BX dashboard with the revolving drum speedo and rocker switches, a la CX.

I love the way the Lagnda has the full Buck Rogers dashboard but still cloaked in walnut - sort of steam punk

Nahh, not enough brass and cogs for steampunk - it looks more dated to me than those Citroen setups.

Probably all those red LEDs on the Lagonda looking like a Sinclair calculator!

smile As you say, it is odd that it's not there. The other odd thing is that I posted without even realising I was supposed to click on the link and see it wasn't there.

In terms of modern cars I think the Honda EV's dash is pretty quirky.
