Quirky dashboards
Discussion
Interesting that there are two Citroens in that list, but no mention of the CX. My father had a GTi as his company car, and even as a four year old I knew there was something a bit mad about them
With regards the E24 6-series, I believe this and other BMWs of the era actually showed the way forward in terms of dashboard design, some of which is still in evidence with other car manufacturers today
Snap! Randy got there before me with the CX

Some interesting, quirky and downright odd dashboards in Classic & Sports Car here: CLICK.
A shame manufacturers are (probably?) forced to make them all pretty much the same these days.
Elf and Safety I suspect.
Nobody would buy a modern car with an interior like those (ok, apart from 1 or 2 on here who claim they would).A shame manufacturers are (probably?) forced to make them all pretty much the same these days.

The Mark 1 BX dashboard with the revolving drum speedo and rocker switches, a la CX.
I love the way the Lagnda has the full Buck Rogers dashboard but still cloaked in walnut - sort of steam punk
Nahh, not enough brass and cogs for steampunk - it looks more dated to me than those Citroen setups. I love the way the Lagnda has the full Buck Rogers dashboard but still cloaked in walnut - sort of steam punk
Probably all those red LEDs on the Lagonda looking like a Sinclair calculator!
