I've just had the enlightening thought that Gran Turismo had a sports car class.

I haven't played since GT3, which feels a while ago and there are probably iterations than iPhones by now but surely this could settle the argument?

Didn't EVO have a section at the back that categorised cars and their associated performance figures and ratings?

The 'knowledge' yes. I did read that too but it's even more controversial. They had automatics incorrectly listed there

I've heard that only a proper sports car driver can drive a sports car in the rain. I'm not one of them, but there you go...

My last VX was a daily driver for three years.

Why would we trust someone who by their very name is about GT cars to say what a sports car is?
You might as well ask a bunch of powerfully built directors wearing snowman jumpers and scoffing Waitrose the best Mince pies while they are on the internet.
