For me, I'd spend the 8k needed for this example. Only 1 owner from new! Bet he would take an offer as well.

That one is saved as a fav on my account. Its a FAR nicer example and the pill in the article
I have been considering selling my D2 A8 for a D3, either the S8 or the 4.2 TDi... Such tempting cars at their current price points

No B&O and No ACC

The B&O is light years ahead of the Bose system, I really wouldn't buy an S8 without B&O, its the equivalent sound wise of a V10 vs 4cyl

I currently run around in a 2.8 fwd D2 A8, hands down the most comfy car that I've ever owned.

I get you, but I myself would rather buy a decent condition example, than a fully specced ratty version. If this one had B&O, I expect it would be a lot more money.

This example is just under £6k and has fewer miles(if correct). But eml light is on..
I’d check that one for front end damage too. The front fogs are the rectangular design that came in with the facelift in 2008. The rear lights are the pre facelift type which are the correct ones for this car’s year.
The wheels are the later wheels as well.

Could be a bargain. I bought an S6 with the same engine and that had an EML light on. Mechanism on the swirl flaps had somehow failed. My mechanic pal fashioned a new spindle and it sorted the problem. Might not be as simple as that on this car though.

I very nearly parted up with £14k for one of these in 2013. It was on an 06 plate with 100k miles with a full main dealer service history. Couldn't get a warranty so I'm so glad I didn't!

About the only reason I'd buy this would be to break it. Wonder what you'd get for the brakes alone? Hmm.
This x 100
Forget the money pit of running it but buy it and break it up for parts. Double your outlay easily.

You could land up well out of pocket if they are the original equipped discs, as good as carbon ceramics are, on a heavy car they could be well on their way out.

I think budget is key, realistically if I was looking again I’d factor about £15K for the perfect one, still cheaper than a new stbox Dacia Duster
