Love the seats, but not sure I could actually live with them. I think the technical term is an eyef**k
I've had the seats in my Cayman done in Pasha. Bloody love it.
Must confess to loving those seats too. I'd almost overlook the green on this car, just for those seats.

Just found this thread so thought I'd offer my thoughts as an owner of an early car.

They do rust believe me. I spent £15k on a full body restoration including inner/outer sills, rear quarter panels etc. Ouch.

I guess the 0-60 is supposed to be about 7 seconds which obviously is not quick by today's standards, but who really cares? It SOUNDS like it's going fast! In a modern world where a Tesla will beat most things there is no point trying to enter the world of bragging rights over how quick your car is so it doesnt bother me any more. I had a Ferrari 550 and that was obviously very quick, but still no match for a lot of new lesser cars on the road, so seems silly to worry about such things.

Is the 928 the first car to have bumpers as part of the bodywork, like pretty much every new car today? If so, ahead of its time or what? I love the design even though it's not really a pretty car. Easy to drive and yes, very solid and well built. I'd have loved a manual but they are so rare and at a premium. I wanted the pasha interior that everyone loves or hates and still think it epitomises the 70's.

I took mine to Denmark last year with wife and a friend and although 'cosy' there was space for us and 3 lots of luggage.

I think Ive been a bit unlucky with the bills for mine, and have spent more than its worth which Im not happy about, but its a keeper and will be tax free next year too.

Everything about the 928 like the seats /wheels autobox ect ect is from another era and this is what makes it attractive and different. Green with tan and black&white blippy interior is a breath of fresh air compared to to the generic depressing aggressive look of most stuff now Porsche excepted.
My Lotus Cortina is another example of a bygone era, ermine white with sherwood green stripe, steel wheels with chrome hub caps and pedestrian very non friendly chrome bumpers.
Old cars need to be taken for what they are/were and can't be compared to new stuff in any shape or form.
