Yes. Quite simple, Disabled Bays are for disabled parking badge holders at all times.
Shows how much you know about the Law.
The law has nothing to do with it. Not parking in a disabled bay without a blue badge is just the right thing to do, morally and ethically.

Ok, so my next question would be, is it ok for a disabled person to use a regular loo?
Only if they give their disability back. You know, the issue that is wrong with their body that hinders them everyday.

Much wider spaces, saves the Zafira sprog carrier with stoved in bodywork, mirrors hanging off, space saver fitted and rear wiper arm snapped off denting your Scenic with its doors..
Sounds like a car for the PH shed thread. It would be celebrated there..
It would be celebrated because most Zafiras have gone up in flames.

Well I don't disagree with you there. Someone would indeed be a tt if they moaned at a wheelchair user because they didn't have blue badge. Mind you, it isn't hard to buy a wheelchair these days. biggrin

The Law my friend, is that the blue badge scheme only applies to council controlled parking. Private parking comes under the Equality Act. Operators cannot demand the display of a blue badge to be entitled to utilise the disabled spaces.

Errr...I know about the law on this thanks.
With my needy passenger I often do not remember to put it in the screen at the supermarket.

Landowners can set whatever criteria they like. If the landowner says you have to have a blue badge to park in their disabled spaces and you park without one, they are entitled to enforce that within the law. The basis of property law is that unless you have permission to enter private land, you are trespassing. Where that permission has critera attached, if you do not follow the criteria you are trespassing because permission is not given.

eg, if a rule in my property is no smoking, i am within my rights to expel people who smoke from my property

The law defines trespass as “any unjustifiable intrusion by a person upon the land in possession of another”.

A private owner-occupier can ask the police to direct a trespasser to leave the land if the owner of the land has already asked the trespasser to leave.

If you have ‘implied permission’ to enter somewhere – for instance a shop open to members of the public – then you are not committing trespass until you have been asked to leave by the owner of the building or their representative. In a shop this is often a manager,. If you fail to do so, then you could be taken to a civil court (‘sued’) by the owner.

Nice little bit of misinterpreting there. I didn't say that.

I did (more or less) say that stting out a child shouldn't automatically gift you privileges though. It's a life choice, being disabled isn't
Can we take the badges away from those who are disabled as a consequence of a life choice then too? That should reduce the need for some disabled spaces.
Are you being deliberately stupid? People choose to become disabled? "I know, i'll hack a leg off, so I can get a blue badge" rolleyes

No, that's called an accident, which is a risk of life. Having a child is a choice people make consciously.

I think r250 means whose who inflict misery on themselves. Smokers who lose a leg, drug addicts, maybe those that drive like tts and permanently injure themselves.

That wouldnt work, I mean where do you draw the line. Just leave it as it is and allow people who need these spaces to park.

Blue badge = can park in a disabled bay, no blue badge = don’t park in disabled bay, simples.

No understand, don’t drive because there may be lots of other things you don’t understand, like box junctions, lane discipline et al.
