Hi everyone, got a V12V which has developed and delightfully irritating rattle from the rear speaker, perfectly positioned near my large, sound sensitive ears! When I first bought the car I detected a similar rattle from the passenger side and AM took out the speaker and put some material in there to stop the rattle, which worked.

Can't be bothered to take it to them again - is it easy enough to remove the speaker and wedge see felt tape in there?

Thanks

Best answer: removed the speaker grille. Nothing loose. Turned out to be the trim hitting the parcel shelf behind the seat. Nothing some cardboard couldn't sort out.

I have the same issue with my front centre speaker grill. Idiot question: how did you remove it? I suspect that metal grill is extremely bendy and uses easy-to-break clips.

Try a station other than Radio 1.

Ha. I only fixed this one to now hear the one coming from near the windscreen so will get my scissors and cardboard out for that too. The speaker grille came out quite easily. Not sure what I did but it was easy to sense how it would pop out if that makes any sense at all and usually I'm a complete chicken when doing this kind of stuff

I'm encouraged! My hammer awaits. Luckily I'm away for a few days so I'll look quizzically at it at the end of the week and see how confident I feel. It can't be that hard, probably. Hopefully.
