ceiling cooker hood
Discussion
Flush with the ceiling type?
If you have a liveable room above ... ie bedroom bathroom etc you can’t use one (unless you drop the ceiling height in the kitchen around it in which looks really pants.
I installed one around five years ago (it protruded into the attic space as it was a single story extension so no
Problem) and feedback is that it works absolutely fine.

Depending on the actual extraction rates you're after I have, by customers request, fitted an airflow icon 60 in the ceiling over a hob running through ceiling void in rectangular duct and exiting via the soffet. I can't see putting a brick vent in would be much more difficult. It works exeptionally well but have to say it's not particularly quiet. I also wonder how long it'll last with no grease filter.
Fitted plenty of these over the years. There has never been an issue with thier effectiveness.
You will need some sort of drop down ceiling to be formed to house the extractor and it’s motor ( some have an external motor that can be fitted outside)
Depends on your kitchen design! Is the hob in a central island?
Fitted a Bora re-circulating hob on Friday but yet to have any feedback from the customer.
Flush ceiling extractor cost a lot more than a standard hood
Think the Siemens is around £1200 where you can get a nice hood for a couple of hundred !
