M140i is a surprise. More to a hot hatch than a blistering engine.

I suspect if our editorial team had created the list, then the Megane might have made it on (it's on our best hot hatches for £10k list).

I've got a Megane 275 Cup-S – Renault only sold 130 of them. Compared to roughly 13k M140is on the road, it's easy to see why the M140i made the list when it was voted for by PHers (even if there are quite a few low volume cars on there).
