hey that would be fascinating. My car was not in the Securicor Challenge and research with the guys from Ford SVE suggest it stayed at Genk for further 4P (pre-production prove-out program) testing.
I adore it and the special pre-production status is very awesome.
Yes, weren’t all the Challenge cars in the C23x -> C24x reg number bracket? I adore it and the special pre-production status is very awesome.

If I may, I’d like to add a view from an owner - and of, in fact, one of the very rare ‘HVW’ pre-production Sierra RS Cosworths- that were produced in ‘85.
All the usual chat aside, this car is unarguably brilliant to drive - I’ve owned all sorts of great cars, Caterhams, 996 GT3, M3 etc and still the Cosworth stands out as the most engaging. They feel very fast , very alive and have that rare blend of superb handling without too much grip and the right power to weight to really enjoy it. There is a reason why they gained legendary status - and 10 minutes into driving a properly sorted one, you will understands why. Incredible in 2020 - mind blowing in ‘85 / ‘86.

If by properly sorted you mean running at least 16lbs boost I'd agree. Standard they felt restricted to me.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
