Surely the price is £137,000 plus VAT? £137,000 minus VAT would be roughly £114 000.
I presume the author meant the 'minus' to mean 'without' but, hey, most at PH don't write very well so you can't expect an A* in Maths either ... wink

I liked that too! biggrin

I just need someone to put a manual gearbox in it for me...then it would be perfect. cloud9

137k + VAT, and doesn’t even come with adaptive suspension. It’s barely lighter than the regular coupe.

Id go for a 2nd hand Audi RWS.

Glad it wasn't just me that it bothered! I suspect, like a lot of journalism, they just lift if from the material they've been given and don't really understand it themsleves.

ANYWAY....I drove a regular Huracan last summer and could not fit in it comfortably. i'm 6'4 and my head was literally tilted to the side. They might sell a few more when they realise people outside of Italy are more than 5'5!

Yet another hyper car that 99.99% of pH and general public couldn't afford. Cheaper more affordable cars would interest far more on PH than these mere toys.

What price point should the site adhere to then?

Completely agree. While they're at it they should change the name to Whatsoulessshitboxshouldibuycosivegivenuponlife.com

Getting there, all it needs now is a manual gearbox, and it'll be a proper old-school drivers car.

Yet you sound quite interested as you've open the article and even posted a comment.

The author could have spent 5 seconds on a calculator and just quoted the price including VAT like...... every other car review ever FFS

Oh and the car is lovely, is 30kg really all you save for ditching 4wd? I guess it’s just a differential

Yeah I can't imagine they've built a super light gearbox without the output shaft, so you've got a carbon prop, two driveshafts and the front diff missing.

Be interesting to see if they put different uprights on it as well, or just put dummy shaft ends in.

I fit fine and I’m 6’6. It’s all about proportions, I don’t however fit in the aventador.

I've just watched the latest Harry's Garage video on the Spyder and the leg room in that looks utterly ridiculous.

I'd assume it's better in the regular car?

I remember when Autocar tested the Performante it was 200kg more than claimed
The Italians often quote dry weights though

Yeah it's just amazing how much extra it ends up being.

In the clip I posted the Spyder is about 130kg more than the dry weight and that's without a driver- add a driver and you're almost at the same weight as my old M5!

RWD doesn’t have 4WD’s standard carbon ceramic brakes, so like for like, with RWD and carbon ceramics, weight savings should be 5 to 10 kg more than the 33kg quoted?

'Old-school drivers car'? What do you think this is: a Caterham? Good grief - a 'manual' in a 600bhp Huracan Evo: Give me strength! :/
