Roll on sub £20k!
You won’t have to wait long they are going to continue to drop like a stone.
The PCP GFV on a 17 plate with 19k miles is coming in at £19k after a further 24k miles. So 43k miles and 6 years will see it lose a shed load of ££££.
These will be £20k from private sellers in 3 years.

I wish they'd make an estate version of this.

Are they depreciating any quicker than the equivalent BMW or Merc?

It's a big drop but then again what saloon car with a V6 or bigger doesn't drop huge chunks. It'll eventually end up being a real bargain buy especially as they continue to drop.

Must admit they are lovely cars, pictures don't do them justice as they are even better looking in real life. Yet I don't want one for some reason. I mean I don't know what I'd prefer in that sector but these just make me admire them from afar.

Veloce models are down to £22K now with sensible mileage - not as full fat as the Quad obviously, but just as stylish and still with plenty of performance.
My uncle has the Veloce and it's actually a pretty good drive, about 270bhp I believe and is a 7 speed auto (don't know if it comes in a manual). It's very nice to drive, certainly not slow either. I think my only criticism is that it was £42k new and the interior doesn't feel like it's up there in terms of solidity and overall quality. Although not enough to put me off it as an overall choice.

Equivalent M3 competition would get about £23.5k GFV with same purchase price. So about £4K difference in depreciation over 3 years.

I've been mulling over one of these since they came out.

I don't think I can get past auto only and the pillar and door does indeed look like it's in a seriously weird place.

I would totally have gone for the GTV had it not been canned.

Couldn't bring myself to part with 35,000 spondoolies for a 44k miler. Still lots of depreciation to come.

Stunning cars but fall like a stone
As do most cars - especially in this current climate of uncertainty.
Very true - look at this 2017 M3 down to £32k after 38k miles: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
That M3 is a cheaper than even the insurance write offs.

I'll bet those competition wheels are fakes and run like a 50p. The tyre pictured is also from Jan 2015.

I think I see 19" tyre? Genuine wheels are 20".

When PH say there is only one other Alfa available for less than £40k they are only using PH classifieds. That car is similarly priced to other cars.

The M3/4 had stayed solid at the bottom end of the market for a while. Surprised to see some of the prices.

I'd probably go with the Alfa for a change.

On the Alfa forums there seems to be very few problems with these in fact the owners all love them.
That's what I have read too, I'm seriously looking to buy one in the next few months to replace my F31 BMW that I've become bored with way too quickly.

The only issues people seem to have with them is that the heated rear doesn't work when the battery is low, and a few people have had trim rattles. Obviously the very first cars had a couple of issues, but that's the same with any model.
Is the heated rear window not working an issue when the battery is low?
Personally I’d say it’s a damn good idea, reducing load on the battery..?
I see a red one of these most days, and I’m guessing he has only just set off when I see him as the owner drives very carefully to presumably safeguard the engine until warm
Love the look of the carbon backed seats but an expensive option when new and I wonder how much difference they make to the future value?

So you think even the very cheapest ones are going lose £15k in the next year?

I disagree.

What do you mean?

I’ve got a 15 year old 100K Alfa 166 that passed another MOT requiring nothing to be spent, unlike any BMW / MB I’ve owned (and they were much newer!).

Actually the only cars I’ve owned that required no work were Alfa / LR and AM ...

The fact this has done so many miles could be looked upon as a bonus. Any gremlins will have been long since sorted I'm sure.

100% agree and nothing to be ashamed of. BMW M3/M4 in a heartbeat over this.

Just sold our M2 for a Stelvio QV and it’s insane. Great engine and for an suv handling is sweet. You don’t buy an Alfa with your head only your heart.
