Yep congrats to him. On a slightly separate point there is a car that early on when the car was in flames and the accident had obviously just happened passed on the hard shoulder and just kept driving.

I would find that person and strip them on their citizenship (if that were possible). What sort of arse do you have to be to just keep driving when you know someone could still be in that car. How does that person sleep at night?
Maybe they did that for the best.
Could be frail, older people that could offer no help to the situation and would become a hazard themselves.
Or they panicked and just drove off, which would probably be for the best, as it wouldn't help the situation and make it worse for others.
Maybe, but by not stopping they have no way of knowing if they can help in any way. Even stopping and dialling 999 from somewhere safe where you can describe what is happening and work out an accurate location. Most of the EU has laws that compel people to stop and help anyone in danger, if they can. I used to proudly say we didn't need laws like that here, that time has passed.

There was a similar video in the last volume. I thought the same, that it's awful not to stop, until someone commented that they might have young children in the car or something like that. A car bursting into flames would be awfully traumatic for a child.

That said, it still gets my goat that people drive by in the vast majority of these videos! Especially the ones with a dash cam that would help an innocent party.

Is it just me or does actually taking the time to save that "event" and then upload it seem like an utter waste of life? As was watching it unfortunately.

It's a BMW though. People like to passionately hate them for some reason.

Fair point. I mean, why link to a car missing another car and a loaded HGV by inches, due to driving like a tt, on a thread about bad driving? Madness!

As you say, the combined total of a minute it took to do all of that is a complete waste of a life.

I don't blame you at all for taking time out of your life to comment.

I'm somewhat intrigued as to how.

The tyre marks (not visible in the shot) across the grass suggests loosing it around the bend.

You mean a slow moving BMW drives slowly past a slow moving HGV with a gap of around 4 to 6 feet? Oooh, terrifying. If they were doing something above walking speed then perhaps it might be worthy, this was just someone changing lanes in mostly stationary traffic.

I'd just rather see the thread have videos of things that matter.

It's not actually your video is it?

It is!

Which makes all the flashing of lights, and probably screaming abuse at the other car and almost certainly mashing the horn (hence no sound on the clip) all a bit ridiculous.

Point A: How do you know it's not a Police car?
Point B : How do you know the driver (whose clearly in a hurry) wasn't trying to get home to a sick elderly relative?

I presume HGV driver is a full on road captain. Who is likely to block others from passing

Another of his gems, sort of backs up that suspicion. Tooting btw

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWtsgAqvubY

Claims the first guy on the bike "jumps the light" Presumably so does the bus as he's pacing alongside it. I suppose it's not green. And I definitely wouldn't put myself in that position!

Last guy in the orange doesn't imo. He goes through on the flashing yellow. (the pedestrians are virtually to the pavement) And no one had to move in any way. So another self appointed dashcam hero. Out there pointing out minor flaws but I notice he did actively try to block the bus on the left so that's OK. laugh

I think he is talking about the bike towards in the opening seconds, who does, and the cyclist at 43 seconds who also does.

Bike at the start and the rider merrily riding up the inside of the bus. Something I wouldn't have done aged five.

As for the rest of the assumptions, I am happy to answer them if it helps stop wasting peoples lives.

First guy and bus jump the lights? Nope.

Wouldn't put yourself in that position? Lost me.

Flashing lights and abuse? Nope. Can upload with sound if required.

Points A & B. Just......well, comedy gold.

Road captain? Sorry, no.

Block others? Only if you can't be arsed to indicate, speed up or slow down when entering a motorway etc via a slip road.

Re: guy in orange. Nope, wrong cyclist.

Actively tried to block the bus? Completely lost me, please explain.

Other than that, everything is spot on.

I'm so sorry.

If you could define "matter" and how it relates to bad driving, maybe I can avoid you having to waste your time by replying in the future.

I come off there each day for work and regularly witness terrible driving. Traffic backs up in the morning and everyone uses the slip road to skip ahead and then force there way back on at the last minute. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what the BMW was doing further down to be honest.
