To give the DCW their dues, when the van came at them, he was driving perfectly reasonably and under no obligation to move to let the van past.
Van driver was rather keen to jump out, I wonder what hand signals the DCW was using ?
I agree with regards to no obligation to move over, however doing so would have meant that that event wouldn't have even occurred. Van driver was rather keen to jump out, I wonder what hand signals the DCW was using ?
Discretion is always handy in such environments.
Definitely an element of creating a problem for the camera, in my view, especially when they've just done a similar manoeuvre.

That's a straight piece of road coming up to a junction. Texting would be my guessWhy report that the landlord is left with a £30K bill though, haven't they heard of insurance.
That being said, It's the driver I feel worse for. If he's injured he'll end up in the QA hospital.

I'm not sure about that - part of me thinks he's just one of those slow-thinking types. He waits for a decent-sized gap to open up in the other lane then starts to move left, then reacts like molasses again twice... Or does he? Hard to tell without audio to give it away.
Evel the biker looks like he rides like an absolute lunatic in the following clips, way too fast
Not only that, more that he's filtering through reasonably moving traffic with junctions close by, sillinessEvel the biker looks like he rides like an absolute lunatic in the following clips, way too fast

Traffic Cops, Ch5 now...
Speeding at 150mph for extended distance...
3 month ban!!?!
Jeez
Not referring your example there but makes me laugh when it’s drug dealers etc using a Corsa as a getaway car when you see the amount of Cupras, Golf Rs and powerful beemers the traffic cops are using now.Speeding at 150mph for extended distance...
3 month ban!!?!
Jeez
The Mazda 3 speed the other week was impressive through.

Definitely a bit soft that. Might have cost him his job travelling though. Never seen a policy chase with a run at 150mph though!Speeding at 150mph for extended distance...

Jeez
Wonder if the 335d the speeder was driving has been mapped..

So he drives down a turn right lane, over broken lines to beat the queu and moans at the van driver, good one.
Although to be fair, at the point the van driver was on the wrong side, he was well within his rights to stand his ground. He lost all rights to moan about it with his previous driving though. Someone could have done the same to him earlier on and hed have been stuffed also.Psycho Warren said:

Although to be fair, at the point the van driver was on the wrong side, .Treat the traffic waiting for the tip as 'parked'.
The road was wide enough for the van driver to pass the parked traffic with care and numpty DCW had already done the same at the beginning of the clip.

Its not legally or technically still filtering when the traffic is moving at speed. it is merely overtaking and like any overtaking manouver the obligation is on the person overtaking to find safe space to do it. So many bikers seem to think that because slow speed filtering is legal, that they can basically overtake like idiots through traffic moving at speed and "expect" people to make way for them. Im all for being bike aware etc but sometimes they dont help themselves. saaby93 said:

They aren't parked though. They are in a que. The cars in the que should have probably been more over to the kerb to make room on the road. Thus the van wouldn't need to be totally on wrong side of the road. Its no different to the impatient people you see zooming past a que of cars at traffic lights to go into the empty turn right lane.Treat the traffic waiting for the tip as 'parked'.

You might be able to argue the prolonged que made it exceptional circumstances but how did the van know they were all waiting for the tip? How did he know the path was clear to even get back to the correct lane? He didn't. They were both bellends for going on the wrong side like they did but that doesnt mean the van was right because the car had been a bellend earlier out of sight.

Agreed, not their job to police the roads.
True. However I will block people going the wrong way down a one way. There are a few one ways round my local city that were former rat runs and made one way to stop them being a rat run. However quite a few drivers still take the piss as they can usually get away with it. They know exactly what they are doing is wrong so I will stop them from doing it. legally and morally I am 100% right in doing so. Sure the "easier" option is to let them pass. However often the types of drivers who go down the wrong way are asshole bullies. Few occasions I've come across them and theyve expected ME to find somewhere to pull over to let them pass. No buddy, you have no right to be where you are so why the hell would i get out of their way, they can get out of mine. People like that need a lesson teaching them otherwise they will continue to drive that way. I would put money if they are aggressive and trying to bully their way through when they are illegally driving down a road that they do that all the time in other situations too so someone standing up to them might teach them a lesson.
But then Im a bit of a towards others who do me "wrong" anyway - eg I will happily block the hard shoulder in grid lock traffic to stop all the rich morons in german cars driving up the hard shoulder. No blue lights, no emergency services ID card, not getting through - wait like everyone else.

Anyone knowing that's the queue for tip would be doing what the van driver was doing (and the numpty DCW earlier) - carefully passing the queue to continue their journey. Treat the queue as any other obstruction.
