An illuminating response. Thanks for this uncommon level of detail.

And how refreshing, the open-minded conversation with that company sales rep. Probably a lesson in that for other brands -- and not just those that make and sell cars.
Glad to be of some service, hope I’ve remembered these things correctly.

And, yes, any time you want to air grievance on the torture that is dealing with the guys in official Porsche (ect) centre track suits tops telling you ‘facts’ like you don’t have the entirety of information on the internet in your pocket I’m your man.

It’s a 350Z engine, but that engine appears elsewhere, including fwd applications.

Absolutely love the retro looks of these and the customisation possibilities available. My only concern would be the dealer network and specifically, aftersales care. So long as they can nail that, then I think Jannarelly have a bright future.
Theyve partnered with a Ferrari/lambo/Maser dealer in Surrey to look after them, though given its a Nissan, i wouldnt have thought it would be hard for anyone to look after it. The salesman did impress on me that the more they sell, then the more local the dealer partnerships will become until they can open their own one

I asked how many theyve sold in the UK and its 4 now, with i think the first one being in Spring.

If i placed an order now, pending on which option i went for then i could have a car in October/November or January

great video, loved it, also great colour combo car, would love one like that.
went for a look, one for sale on mobile de

sadly in NL 21% btw (tax) on top of that (about 17k-euro) plus almost 70k-euro BPM (also Co2 tax)
so in that example, in NL you pay more btw/BPM then the car netto cost in Dubai, in NL you pay it twice punch

Hi Chaps,

Not been on here recently due to being busy with things.........but, those that know me will understand when I say that I am thrilled to be the UK Operations Manager for Jannarelly UK, I have a LHD demonstrator available for test drives which has been set up for the UK roads, I am based in Autofficina in Epsom, Surrey, and we are taking orders for the car and looking after existing customers now.

I would love to answer your questions and hear your thoughts on the car, the brand, what the future looks like and anything else you want to know about Jannarelly, both UK and worldwide.

What I will say is this!
The car is bonkers, properly sorted, very quick, beautifully built and has vastly improved on the press launch cars that people here have seen. I have chassis 12 as my demonstrator, and we are on chassis 74 at the factory. We now have Michelin as a tyre partner and I love the car!

So PH, ask away, I am happy to answer any question at all!

Cheers,

Ruttboy.

Hi there,

Was lucky enough to spend some time with Alan and the UK demo earlier in the year pre lockdown.

Its a superb piece of kit and the engineering that's gone into the car is of a very high level. The detachable/changeable roof/canopy is one of the highlights for me as this really would be beneficial in the UK

Regards

Tim

Try to get Chris Harris, Henry Catchpole or Harry Metcalfe to have a go in it....

I saw one last year at the Salon Prive and was very impressed by the quality and looks. Pre-covid it felt like the right car at the right time given how popular resto-modding has become. I'm glad the virus does't seem to have derailed the UK launch too much.

How would you take care of after sales, warranty work etc without a dealer network?

Today HB (huet brothers) posted a new picture of their car on FB, showing the front of a red HB Coupe racer, a bit the way of the first picture above of the Jannarelly
first thing I thought, hey a Jannarelly :-) but nope, not, it was the HB car, ah believe this picture.

Also very lightweight, a bit more luxe perhaps and a bit different, but I guess also a great car what those Dutch car makers make.

I've had a look at the Huet Brothers web site. Have to say I really like the car.
This from the 'About Us' page could almost be a Sniff Petrol parody (or an Alan Partridge monologue)...
The Original Spirit Explained: The time when courtesy was a common good, when men held doors open for their female counterparts, when TV was still amazement and not a necessity when people knew their neighbours and spent evenings playing family games. The days when goods were mostly handmade and not mass- produced in some far corner of the globe. When the word of a man didn't have to be accompanied by a pile of legal papers. When bonuses were given for performance, not for a contractual agreement. When cars were cars, not merely a form of transportation and when roadside repairs were often successfully done by the AA-service mechanic. When there was always a place to park,..... for free.

Rather more my sort of thing than the Jannarelly - the interior looks remarkably good, though some of the exterior styling seems a bit odd. Watches actually seem reasonably priced - I wonder if the car is.

Not yet, but we're working on it. We have the dealership contract for Europe, so we are just getting round to setting everything up in Mainland Europe. We only started in the UK in January and it is already exceeding our expectations and going very well.

I'll find out from my Director about a Demo in Holland.

I have a list of people who will be driving it..........not unlike the one you have suggested.......but I can't say anything more right now.

The virus actually helped, as it allowed us to concentrate on marketing and exposure and as such, we now have a back log of demonstrations to get through, so really great start when you have over 100 people on the list to drive the car!

And as for warranty and a dealer network, for now I am based in Autofficina in Epsom, a brilliant Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini specialists and they are my technical partners in the UK. They look after the UK demo and all UK customer cars and warranty work.
With an increase of the brand, I will be setting up a specialist network of partners UK wide to allow local customers to get their cars fixed without having to get the car to London all the time.
I've been doing this long enough to know who to trust and who to use, so I have plenty of work and miles ahead of me sorting all this out.

But, it beats working for a living when your daily driver looks like this!

What size wheels/tyres come with the car as standard then? I remember them being advertised as 16" on the website but I'm guessing that is no longer the case?

Traditional front engines sports car proportions. Mid-engined layout. Contemporary 2020 aerodynamic styling. It’s a great little car looking to exploit a very specific niche. I hope it’s a great success.

These have gotten right under my skin. It’s been a while since I saw a new niche sports car and instantly started doing the man maths.

One question - is it modular at all? As in if you specced one with the small screen but decided later one you wanted the full windscreen or even the roof, is that an option? Or would it be time to sell up and buy a different car?
