My bro has an '07 C2 1.4 Furio and he seems to love it. He's certainly had it a while. Though as I sourced him an AX 1.0 for his first car he has been stuck on a path - that got replaced with a 1.1 Saxo and then onto this C2.

Old man's had to give up driving for a little while so I'd have commandeered his same age Cooper personally, but each to their own.

These Loebs looks like fun - I've enjoyed all the French tin I've enjoyed over the years and I'm sure this would be no exception. Great shed.

WTF were Citroen thinking of when they brought out the C2, did they model it on a shoe? Why is it so high up?
The VTS model used to mean something good until this generation of rubbish started coming from Citroen.

Take the excellent handing fun Saxo VTS, then style it on a shoe, and ruin it for everyone!

He certainly does come from there and he is certainly not from Belgium, and note he usually wins his local rally 'the Alsace' for fun, and with his wife in the co-drivers seat as well. Possibly the best and most talented driver ever....

As the article says great fun to throw around the lanes, not the fastest in a straight line but love to rev.

I'd recommend one as a cheap winter run around

The bends seem to be where they score highest
Very close to the MX5 and Cooper on overall time despite a big power to weight deficit

I don’t really mind it if I’m honest; makes a change form barges although I’d rather the Volvo from last week.

This was my C2, sold it last week to a guy after a good fun commuter car.
Yes the doors are a little tinny, the gear linkages are a little "french" but as I said in the advert, it brings a smile to your face.
I've always owned german cars, so when I switched to this it was a shock to the system. But reving that little 1.6 whilst throwing it around the lanes was by far some of the most fun I've had driving a car. Shed no, fun, definitely.

A mate of mine had one of these back in the day, compared to my 106 Rallye it did seem a bit lardy but the engine is a peach that loves to rev. I thought it looked better on the white wheels that (I thought) came as standard though. I don't remember that interior either, it seemed more upmarket at the time but then that was over 10 years ago now frown Must take my rose tinted specs off!
Looks like it's pretty decent on the bends

Ive seen a few threads from people putting 3.0V6 engines in these little C2s....now that must be hilarious!

Had a code for my first car a couple years back, nippy little thing but the detatchment from feeling like a car to drive was ridiculous.

I had a Citroen c5 v6 auto estate with all the toys. The older shape one. Lovely smooth engine. Bought for pennies, quite often look for them now, must be worth sqrofa.

No, it is a stupid thing to do, way to heavy up front I would think. The PSA V6 is a smooth engine but not a screamer, it is a fine engine in a big Pug or C5 as it is the range of torque that gives the benefit. Little cars just don't need it.

When the C2 VTS first came out, PerformanceGTI, or was it FrenchCars magazine at the time, I can’t quite recall, used my Saxo VTS in the twin test they ran.

Although the C2 made 125BHP seem like 125BHP, where as the Saxo VTS had a rather amusing knack of making 120BHP seem like much, much more, I recall the C2 was an amazing handling car.

Far more planted than the Saxo, if not quite as adjustable.

Yep, the Saxo was 100kg lighter (10% lighter in real teams ) - with the same power it was always going to feel more spritely in a straight line - about 3 seconds quicker to the magic ton - ran the Clio Cup close on a bendy circuit

Rapid little cars, on the sprint / hillclimb circuit in the 1600cc production classes the C2, Saxo and 106's were always at the front, often mixing it on times with the production 2.0 classes. ( n/a all of them ) . Of course they are tinny, flimsy, ugly, plastic, French blah blah blah but I would love to stick that in a barn for 10 years.

Haha - very true - you wouldn’t want to crash in any of the exciting little French hatches

They are top fun to drive and the Saxo/106 do punch well above their weight and against even worthy stuff like the Puma with the same power to weight
