Not my proudest moment but I once returned to my freshly painted Corrado parked well out of the way in a car park to find a Punto alongside and a large chunk of paint out of my door, some still present on the Punto door edge, reasoning that my door needed painting anyway I gave it an almighty shove into the side of the Fiat.
.... custard!!!

At the supermarket this morning, I watched someone after (presumably) unload his trolley just push it away, it was taken by the wind and smashed into a 18 plate X-Trail. He saw me looking at him, shrugged his shoulders and got in his car.
I do hope you noted the number and gave it to the owner of the xtral with your number as a witness?

Nuffield gymn, Warwick, watched some jam tart dent a car with her bad parking. Looked around, then quitely walk off into the gym saying nothing. Tut tut.

I reported it, car registrations the lot. Management clocked it all on cctv. She'd have got a nice surprise on her way out. Stupid self serving fat cow

Parked in Tesco miles from anyone.
Come out to find some old bloke wriggling like a worm on a hook trying to get out of his clio. He had ignored the empty parking spaces all around & parked virtually on top of me.
I suggested his life would have been a whole lot easier if he'd have used one of the other spaces. He replied with 'it's a parking space, I've parked in it' He just didn't get it. To be fair, neither did I. Why put yourself through that when there's an easier option in front of you?

Maybe he thinks it's a sport and is enjoying inconveniencing you?

Sounds pretty stupid and you would have to be an unbelivable knob to do it but they do walk (and sadly drive) amongst us.

Many have openly admitted so on this thread on what used to be a motoring enthusiast site. I'd hate to think my life was so empty that I needed to make a nuisance of myself for my own entertainment.

No one ever seems to park close or want to get near my old school defender 90........I'm feeling a tad discriminated against.

You mean. Many have openly admitted to parking in the spaces next to people who have deliberately parked over two spaces, because that other person had a centre-of-the-universe-importance complex.

There is quite a difference between your somewhat lacking partial explanation and the truth. Plus has zero relevance to the person in question.

Not I don't mean that at all. There are a number of incidences on this thread of people admitting to spotting a nice car parked away from everyone and them deciding to park next to them for devilment. Simply to wind up the owner.

I think a lot of that is jealousy of the car, they see it as the owner thinking they are better than them and parking their expensive car away from the plebs, but in fact they just want to look after the car they likely worked hard to earn...

Strange behavior to go out of your way to be a dick to someone you never met, just because they are trying to take more care of their car by using a remote space you otherwise wouldn't have used anyway!

Flip side? You park in a multi-storey car park overnight while staying at a nearby hotel, and when you get back to the car find that the perfectly parked car you parked next to, and which left both drivers able to get in/out without undue effort, has now been replaced by a twunt's car. I was in the centre bay of three between pillars, and you'd have needed to measure it to see if I was off centre. The other car, belonging to some twunt who clearly can't park, is about two feet from the pillar, and squeezed right up against the white line. I have no idea how they even got out of a three-door hatch with such little space. maybe they got out of the passenger side door? Anyway. I got my wife settled in the passenger seat, as the driver of the car on that side had no trouble parking centrally in their bay. Then I tried to get into mine. The only way in was to open the door against their door handle, push hard, and then wriggle into mine sideways, standing on the kick plate. Fortunately for me, I'm only small, so i managed it. But any of our "powerfully built" brethren would have failed to get in, of that I'm sure. Do I give any fks if my door scraped paint off their door handle? Absolutely not. If you're going to park in a manner that leaves another driver needing a can opener instead of their keys, you pretty much deserve the repair bill... tongue out

Indeed, I find it doesn't happen with the Panda, which clearly fails to properly signal to the plebs that I'm better than them.

We have a big maintenance period at work and all our carparks are full to overflowing, yet entitled idiots still park over the white lines to prevent people parking next to them/

My polo is about 2mm from the drivers door of a big Lexus SUV, sod him.

This happened at my railway station all the time. My Seicento was great for squeezing into those tight gaps right by the station platform entrance

There is a perfect solution for this problem. Buy a old Land Rover Defender, never wash it and then no one will ever park next to you. I swear by this logic.

My LR Defender 90 pick up will have empty spaces either side of it when I come out from a supermarket. It is hilarious. I purposely park as close to the front of the shop as possible, and I will watch (from afar) people eye up a space next to the Landy and then drive on.

Now, said Landy is jacked up, massive wheels and very, very muddy. It looks like a piece of crap, but underneath it is solid.

The piece de resistance is a boost pin and straight through exhaust, which makes the old 200TDI engine smoke like a trooper. People also hate this, but it is very comical and will pass an MOT with said mods.

Anyhoo... Follow these simple steps above and you'll never care what happens to your car.

The flaw in your plan would be having to buy an old Defender.
