The current RR wading depth is 90cm (as is the new Defender incidentally).

That's in two feet of water. As an idiotic/moronic/stupid SUV owner I know what the wading depth of my truck is but crucially there's also a depth marker out of shot. You'd have to be quite brave to wade through water without a) knowing the capability of your car and b) not actually knowing how deep the water is.

The second one was staying at his inlaws for the night. His car was stolen off the drive. The insurance wouldn't payout as he said it would be kept at his home address overnight. Again, luckily, he got the car back a couple of weeks later, albeit with no wheels, a blown engine and a crumpled bonnet.
So, does that mean that if your car is stolen during an overnight stay at someone’s house, or a hotel for instance, the theft isn’t covered? Seems quite harsh, given that most people spend a few nights away from home in a typical year, and will have driven the car to wherever they are staying.
That's what he asked them. They said he had to ring them and update the policy any time the car would be at a different address overnight.
Jesus Christ some people talk some bks on here.

And even then there's potential for drain covers to lift.

Note the stitching on the roof. A stitch runs along both sides of the roof parallel with the edge, about 8 inches in.

Updated pic above shows it's an MR2.

As an owner of a Barchetta ,I was 100% that it wasn't one.

My guess is an Octavia
As a result of Brexit and Scottish independence concerns it is the latest hunter-killer class submarine undergoing river trials.

I dont think it is an Octavia- note three mounting points and no sharkfin (could be useful here) antenna.

Looking at it again there might be an antenna at the rear but I stil doubt it's an Octavia.

You have to ask why people are so stupid when there is flooding, the roads here are full of stricken cars, it was the same in the 2015 floods, people just drove into water that was 3ft deep, you have to be thick as mince.

Some from here today

To the layman driving upto the centre bolts on the wheels doesn't seem that risky, if they were in any other car than a new BMW it would have been fine.

You're brave! I know that ford and it claims at least one victim a week at this time of year! It's more of a tractor wash than a thoroughfare in the winter... Always amazes me anyone chances it given the relatively short detour around.... Gotta admit it looks fun though!
