Apparently the Ford Eco Sport thing can wade to 550mm of standing water although I was unable to find any such info on the website which is littered with ste about infotainment.

That's in two feet of water. As an idiotic/moronic/stupid SUV owner I know what the wading depth of my truck is but crucially there's also a depth marker out of shot. You'd have to be quite brave to wade through water without a) knowing the capability of your car and b) not actually knowing how deep the water is.
You're brave! I know that ford and it claims at least one victim a week at this time of year! It's more of a tractor wash than a thoroughfare in the winter... Always amazes me anyone chances it given the relatively short detour around.... Gotta admit it looks fun though!
I know, there's a way round it only half a mile down the road but I like going through it just for funsies. Quite often I'll see a few cars just loitering around the ford, plucking up courage!

This person really overestimated the wading depth. Unless the air intake is in the roof rails.

The current RR wading depth is 90cm (as is the new Defender incidentally).

Err, surely that's only the bow wave making it look deep. confused

The actual water depth isn't even above his wheels.

Not sure what you're trying to say? There's nothing mysterious or disingenuous about it, the only point I was making was that you can drive through deep water if you know what you're doing. That's it.

Fiat Barchetta. Obviously.
Updated pic above shows it's an MR2.

As an owner of a Barchetta ,I was 100% that it wasn't one.
I think Pericoloso may be due a parrot of the whooshing variety.

Given a dangerously Italian username, you'd think he'd have got it!

EA advice is that 30cm of flowing water is enough to float the average car downstream

Yes you can drive through 60cm of water when your wading depth is 90cm, well done you.
