If it was, now it's a Ford Glugga.

I think Pericoloso may be due a parrot of the whooshing variety.
Given a dangerously Italian username, you'd think he'd have got it!

Err, surely that's only the bow wave making it look deep. confused

The actual water depth isn't even above his wheels.
Not sure what you're trying to say? There's nothing mysterious or disingenuous about it, the only point I was making was that you can drive through deep water if you know what you're doing. That's it.

Yes you can drive through 60cm of water when your wading depth is 90cm, well done you.

Thanks, appreciated.

This owner clearly specced the super-floatation tyres option! Very wise.
I've seen a few cars claimed by that Ford, inc. a badly driven Land Rover Series 3.
Also seen some guys drive down the Pang from the ford further up, but guessing you don't fancy that biggrin !
Highlight was a Austin Mini Cooper making it through when it was an indicated 1ft.

We had one today for a few hours. It travelled 5/6 miles down the river.

A bit of a side track, but since this is Pistonheads, is anyone else here wondering why Ciara was pronounced 'Kiera' and not 'Sierra'?

The Irish named it hence the pronunciation.

The Thames claims a Z4 with red leather:

Presumably the feminine form of Ciaran, which would be pronounced Kieran.

There are so many embittered losers on here - I've lost count on the number of threads I've seen here where members gleefully claim insurance won't pay out for one reason or another.

MOT finished 3 days ago and now the car has been stolen? Good luck with insurance
Misjudged depth of water and flooded a car? Insurance don't pay out for stupidity
Claiming you have 11 years of NCB when it's actually 10? That's fraud and they should cancel your policy indefinitely and keep the premium.

PH is a boring cesspit now

I share your feelings about the attidtues on here. I was appalled on the third or fourth page when someone suggested reporting one driver (black suv) so his insurance would not pay out. People make mistakes, sometimes daft mistakes. Such a horrible, bitter attitude.

The responses you got from your post pretty much endorse what you said ;-)

That first Levante was about 3 miles from my dads place. There's a few decent pubs and chippies in Hawes if he fancies a walk up the hill.

The locals had a good laugh about it.

This weather (and snow) always brings out the bellends in their Discos. £100 days he’s wearing camo gear and has a high viz vest in the boot :rolleye:

Hi Vis, recovery strap, shovel in the back. No camo though, I put it down once and couldn't find it again.

No wonder 200 / 300 TDis suffer so badly with body rot.
And no wonder that TD-5 Discos suffer with rotten rear 1/4 chassis ! ( I own both models )
