Bought this last week. Wife has been having issues with diesel her car due to regular short journeys. She didnt like driving mine because she 'felt claustrophobic' (Civic). Strange one - back street 'dealer'. 82k Executive petrol model in great condition inside and out, full leather, cruise etc - only thing that's not working is the Sat Nav (rad and CD is) but no biggie as maps 14 years out of date!
No service history other than the V5 and current MOT ticket (1yr) - even the service book, manual and other documents are from a Gen 1! Bought as a 'trade' sale for a few hundred above 'Shed' ceiling but has clearly been well looked after - oil golden and new filter, 4 almost new looking Bridgetone A/T tyres and two new brake calipers on the rear.
She's as happy as Larry!
Brilliant these are, i had one a few months back and it was the most reliable car I've ever owned. Not to the level of many on here, but what a fabulous little car! Gave me lots of grins on the way over the M62, surprisingly comfortable and really well put together still for an old girl (it's a girl btw).
Nice! And forget about 'level', think that's the fun of this thread -- doesn't matter, there's something genuinely nice and/or interesting for every price point. The E85 cars are IMO a bit of a bargain, especially in the UK, but even on the continent prices haven take off yet. I purchased a Porsche 911 turbo when they were just so cheap it was silly not to buy one, really nice example too! As they were selling really well lately I sold it at a profit. I used that and a big wedge I’d saved to buy the Aston. Was looking for ages for a manual then 2 became available so I took the plunge and don’t regret it for one minute guys. Awesome beautiful car and can’t think of a nicer place than behind the wheel of drop dead gorgeous DBS

Very nice. Very jealous. Genuine question - how do people fund lavish cars? Is there a secret “successful person” method? Is it typically through being a business owner and tax deductible cleverness or is it purely hard work and pay the price for nice things? What I’m getting at is could an average Joe ever aspire to own a super car or do you really need to own a business and make your fortune that way rather than becoming a senior exec of a blue chip and having to actually shell out 100k or whatever
Running costs are another matter. Big service on an Aston could be £10k plus.
You could have a C63 AMG for half of that.
