Anyone else keep buying more and more cars?
Discussion
I am very close to considering the McLaren 12C as too much of a supercar bargain to resist at £60k ish. So I am about to trim one or two, although this might be more difficult that I had imagined during lockdown. I guess it'll be all about the quality and quantity of the detailed photos attached to the advert (coming to PH soon).

I'm glad I'm not alone...
2013 BMW X5 - family car
2016 Kia Rio - for the kids to learn to drive
2007 Mini Cooper S - for fun
2003 SL 500 - because it is the most beautiful car ever made
But I'm looking for a 2016-17 BMW 650i or 2011 Aston Martin Rapide. I just love looking at cars. Trying to tell myself that I can only buy another if I sell the Merc and the Mini, but I might accidentally buy before I sell. It's an affliction...

I like the variety. Think I need to mix mine up a bit. All taxed mot and insured.
I suppose I’m guilty of this but my problem is not being very good as selling...
I tend to chop and change my everyday car, even when I really like it if it’s ended it’s useful life to me, but I’ve got a growing accumulation of unnecessary vehicles
I don’t list everything in my garage on here either, for instance I’m spending most of my time pulling apart another 2.8i Defender that I bought 2 years ago to do up... it’s a 110 though so at least it’s not exactly the same... although I know another 50th anniversary 2.8i 90 which is literally identical to my car and I’m tempted...
ETA Turns out I did add the 110 at some point!

That’s the only reason to have a decent number of cars. They all need to offer something different. I’m expecting to nudge into double digits this year. Much beyond that and it’s going to need offsite storage which I worry will result in some simply not being used enough to justify keeping them.

Just a little lockdown bump to see if anyone has impulsively added to their fleets.
I haven’t yet but constantly looking at classifieds as nothing better to do in the evenings (who am I kidding, I do that without lockdown).
Just reread the thread hoping for some inspiration.
Brightwells are auctioning all the army Wolf Landrovers at the moment. For some unknown reason, Mrs rxe is encouraging me to buy one. Unfortunately, I have browsed the auction and found these for sale:I haven’t yet but constantly looking at classifieds as nothing better to do in the evenings (who am I kidding, I do that without lockdown).

I have no idea what I would do with it, but I really want one. Mrs rxe not so sure.
I’ve got 3.
2014 Alfa Mito 1.6 JTDM Sportiva - bought for commuting doing 400 miles a week. Currently doing bugger all. A very nice car though.
2010 Alfa Brera 1750 TBI - bit of a project this one. Had it a year bought with high miles needs a little work but I love it.
2002 Alfa 147 2.0 TS Lusso - bought recently during lockdown for £500 for no reason at all. It seemed a nice car and it was cheap so I bought it.

Five for me at the moment and another on the drive belonging to Mrs McGee.
A BMW 635CSi I have owned for approaching 25 years which still looks smart but is needing a little attention here and there. I can't quite bring myself to get rid of it although I perhaps should.
BMW M635CSi; only been with me around about fifteen years with me but I always wanted the 'M' and I have had it fairly well restored to garage queen status.
Alpina B10 V8 Touring, my daily workhorse which is still completely brilliant as an all round motorcar.
Alpina B10 4.6 Touring, a one off car in right hand drive that is very special indeed. It's staying along with the M635.
Alpina B12 5.7 limousine, again pretty rare with just two ordered in the UK but a sublime family motorcar and the V12 engine itch well and truly scratched.
After the B12 arrived I was informed that a one-in, one-out policy was now in place unless I wanted to live in the next vehicle I purchased... now I keep looking at camper vans

I’m at my sensible limit with 5. Could squeeze a 6th in but resisting the temptation.
2011 Fiesta van, daily vehicle
2015 Transporter van, for rally weekends, towing, mountain biking weekends currently parked up as none of the above are happening.
1982 Peugeot 104S, weekend car.
1979 Mk2 Escort, alternative weekend car.
1989 Peugeot 205 gti, longest I’ve owned a car and after a lot of hard use it’s parked up awaiting restoration.
