Same here; the potential for MASSIVE bills, damages/jail for killing someone/negligence, armco damage, ending up in hospital etc. The risks to me look totally unacceptable.
Shame - it looks brilliant.
I've just never got round to it hehe

Plan to do it in the next couple of years. Know what you mean about potential risks on the public days. Not sure I fancy riding a bike round it then.

I've never...

Owned a RWD car
Owned a BMW, sporty Renault, Imprezza, MX5 or Golf GTi
Had anything with more than 5 cylinders
Done the 'ring or track day and to be honest they don't really appeal, lots of money driving hundreds of miles to sit in a paddock waiting do10 laps before driving home again... I raced motorbikes for a couple of years and I seem to remember that there was a lot of waiting then as well
Bought winter tyres
I think I'm doing this wrong!

I've had more than 20 RWD cars, 8 BMWs, 2 Golf GTis - although no Renaults, Imprezas or MX5s.

But I've had at least 12 cars with more than 5 cylinders and done a few track days, albeit not the Ring - yet!

And my 3 Series daily is currently on winter tyres. redfaceops:

Interesting thread.

There are always plenty of things not done but here goes:

1. Never owned a car with more than 4 cylinders (this is a big one for me and will be rectified before the petrol Doomsday brigade destroy our motoring fun hopefully).
2. Drove around the ring (despite going 3 times!)
3. Been to Le mans 24hour
4. Been to the F1 (or have a real desire to go).
5. Drove in America.
6. Rallied.
7. Owned AWD.
8. Leased a car.
9. Owned my all-time dream car.

I have done plenty:
1. Done an engine conversion,
2. Built a sleeper.
3. Built a track car purely dedicated to track work,
4. Drove and owned RWD.
5. Bought my attainable dream car.
6. Tuned my daily driver by more than 30% of it’s output.
7. Been on the Autobahn clocking over 150mph,
8. Been to the ring,
9. NC500,
10. Drifted, done donuts, competed in sprints, hillclimbs etc. etc.

Oops, note to self. Hand in my PH membership, I've never spent more than my monthly wage on a car.

Are you really well paid, or just a practitioner of bangernomics (or both!)? And pre or post-tax wage? smile

Never:
Driven the “ring”
Done the drags - 1/4 mile (will do soon)
Completed a proper burnout - didn’t want to destroy my perfectly good, expensive tyres!
Wheelied any of my motorbikes- I’m not competent enough!
Done complete wheel spin around a roundabout (nearly)
Driven any of the alpine passes
Lost my licence

Have:
Owned: V8s (Cerbera/ Soarer), Fiat 127, Mr2, Ford Orion, Cavalier SRi, Saab convertible, Ford Falcon wagon and sedan
Ridden an Enfield Bullet 350 around India by myself - only crashed twice
Driven an Austin Maxi like “I stole it”
Been nabbed for reversing on the M6
Only “written” one car off.
Lost control of my V8 Soarer with my 4 year old and his best mate in the back!
Owned various motorbikes (raced a mini bike and thrown off at 25mph - it hurts!!)
Motorcycle track days - well recommended if you want to scare yourself silly!
Various track days in other people’s cars - mostly crap with cars revs/ exhaust/ speed limited.
Built my own 150cc go kart, 80cc petrol bicycle and 750w 36v electric bicycle - hilarious fun.

Want to:
drive a Ferrari 400/412 or Magnum Pi 328 before I go
Own a new, souped up Mustang GT. Cannot afford either.

Just realised I may have been taking this too seriously... I also have not fufilled the following PH memes:

- Bought winter tyres
- Put on the handbrake to avoid dazzling the driver behind with my brake lights
- Owned a dash cam
- Posted on PH about something my 'mate' has done
