What's the highest range you've seen displayed when filling your car right up with fuel? The most I've ever seen on my Peugeot 208 1.2 is 522 miles to empty after a fill up, having been doing some long distance driving, but the most I've ever truly got out of it is 475 miles before refuelling.

Normally when I fill right up with petrol it displays around 430 miles to empty, which usually turns out as just over 400, with around 20-30 miles range left, so it seems fairly accurate to me.

i had a fabia vrs - the diesel one - and the fuel computer on that regularly told huge porkies

one time after brimming the tank it was claiming a range of 800 miles.
I think it managed 600 miles once, 500-550 was the norm.

530d guesses 650 miles but it’ll get about 600-610 at a push
My old 1.9tdi Córdoba once delivered 725 on a tank

After filling the tank, followed by a very light-footed drive of about 27 miles, my Mk1 TT 225 showed a range of 620 miles. Didn't turn into reality, unfortunately.

I'd show you a photo, but I can't get the image upload working.

My Mazda 3 MPS normally shows around 340 when I fill up.

320 is the only time I've broke 300 miles to a tank on a run down to Nottingham and back. Normally I see 250-280 miles.

Drove a Passat Diesel once (140 IIRC) that was nudging four figures showing on a fill. I had driven it uber-gently prior, though. It immediately dropped once I set off again.

Worst is my shed Jag. 220 for £96. eek

1030 in a Mk4 Mondeo TDCI. Of course that plummeted the moment I went above 1mm of throttle. The real world range could probably be drawn out to 650-700 miles with the wind behind it.

304 miles in a 330i E92 jobber.

The fact it takes 4 months to do those miles as I WFH then I suppose it is a good deal for me.

I worked away last year and fueled twice when home so £120 for the whole year. This year I have put in £90 so far and have 3/4 of a tank remaining.

Which bit is confusing you
a car with 3 digit range, a car that can display a basic calculation, a car that can detect its fuel level, or all 3?

Insgina grand sport diesel

570 when you fill it up, more like 430 once the lights in again.

The fuel Gauge also moves very quickly to quarter of a tank then ages to the light
