F10 M5

It has an 85L tank and the most it’s showing range was is 400. The most I got before the light is 350 (long motorway trip). Usually get 270 light to light.

The highest I've seen on the E90 320d/ED is 1105 miles, but the car had already travelled a few miles by that point.

It routinely shows enough miles on the range remaining + range since last fill that the total is >1000 miles.

It's actually really easy to get this so long as the motor is warm.

I'd be interested to see whether anyone's range is based purely or mostly on urban driving as opposed to motorway cruising.

I get a quite shameful 280 miles out of the 18.5 US gallon tank in my 392 Challenger.

I got this..

2004 Volvo S60 D5. Full tank showed 1080 miles. Briefly.
2004 Volvo D5 here too, Also >1,000 miles range on a tank. From here to Zargreb as I told my kids who were not keen on driving across Europe on holiday. Spoil sports.

My ST came with a full tank and 400 mile range best I can do is 340 now. I guess the previous owner had a lighter right foot.

50L tank, it usually says about 280 miles,

I usually get about 300 ish miles out of it, I did once get 325 on a frugal run, that was well into the red, when refilling, that was 45L

My 1.6hdi C4 coupe usually showed about 700 after a full load.

I got 690 out of a tank once.

Most of the time it was around 600 miles on a tank. It preferred NSL Aroads to motorways. Seemed perfectly geared to be frugal between 50-60mph. Once around 70 (or just over) economy wasn't as good. Felt like it needed an extra gear really.

If you've got an onboard computer that tells you things like average, MPG, speed etc, chances are it'll show you 'miles until fuel tank empty'. When you fill it up, that's your range...

...and my range in a 1.6 petrol Chevy Cruze has never exceeded a paltry 254 miles if I'm lucky, of which of course I still get less as my driving is urban.

Range does not equate to how many miles you're able to actually drive on a full tank.

Got a bit to go 361 miles on 44.35L I’ve had out of it. Average for me now is 310 and it’s pretty accurate.

Like you’ve mentioned it only shows 43.5L worth as 6.5L appears to be the reserve

My fuel warning light for 50 Miles comes on before the fuel meter reader is below 1/4 tank.

Ford Mustang GT 2005 - 4.6 V8.

Get about 170 miles to a tank.

459 miles on a petrol Vectra V6. I suspect the four-cylinder diesel would do near enough double that on a tank.
