Years ago there was the 320iS as well. Bit down on power but lightweight
The E36 one? AKA Italian M3. Or the later E90 320si? those were around 2006 onwards. A friend had one but the engine was junk. Rebuilt twice but never right. S14 engine which revs quite high
Available in 2 or 4 door
Old car now but similar ethos

Was trying to think of any others with a 2 -litre n/a engine and nigh on 100bhp litre or similar power to weight of the Accord

Congratulations,
Seems a nice example. How are you finding it and what made you buy one?
The long drive home was nice then we went into lockdown the next day! Looks pretty on the drive. Can say it's perfect for long distance, can't wait for adventures. Seems a nice example. How are you finding it and what made you buy one?
It was always going to be a Honda. Kept coming back to the accord. We've both always had small cars so we weren't sure if it'd be too big but we test drove an accord and it felt so swag, just a bit slow so the euro R was the perfect solution. It's only the 2 of us, shopping gets lost in the boot.
No mods planned, it already has the Tein coilovers with EDFC. We popped a K&N panel in and added some hp with stickers

it would struggle to keep a 320d honest in the real world
Just getting silly now .
A 320d is a great benchmark for a good ordinary car, handles well, brisk in a straight line, decent to drive for a humdrum car.
Certainly if you're discussing a halo model 3 series sized saloon its a fair comparison unless you're being deliberately obtuse, as discussed ad infinitum, this car is interesting no doubt, certainly desirable to a tiny percentage of the population but in no way can it stand tall on its performace merits because its just not quick and if you want an engaging driving experience you'd at least buy a Teg DC5 or a proper sports car. Its a novelty for Jap fans, and should be viewed as such. Nothing wrong with that
