Maybe I also assumed incorrectly that you meant Centre of Gravity?
No you were spot on for that assumption

Giiirrrr, look at my angry headlights and taillights. As we all know, lights ARE styling now, so this looks aggressive and mean so must be good. Good styling.

At least the inside is ugly so that the owners share the pain they're inflicting on the non-blind general public.

421bhp from a 4 cylinder in an SUV! Remarkable that Mercedes can make that engine tough enough.
Forged pistons and rods aren’t too expensive, knock sensors aren’t even slightly expensive, and if you already employ a drivetrain calibration team it won’t take more than 3 minutes to write the code for KR.

Nothing remarkable here, just decades old engineering.

True, but the production techniques to make this reliable enough for a modern degree of warranty are not. Closest equivalent would be an old Mitzi FQ with a 4000 mile service interval.

Be intrigued to see one of these in the metal. I had a bit of a soft spot for the previous GLA45 as it reminded me of a subtle WRC car for the road. Just looked like it could be a lot of fun and usually I'm not a fan of these SUV/hatcback type cars at all.

Those pictures aren't selling the new one to me at all. Where the previous model looked like a tall A Class this looks like a squashed GL Class and in turn it's a dumpy looking thing. I'll await final judgement until I see one on the road.

Love it, COG is on point
Its about 15 cm higher than an A class, which obviously isnt the actual Centre of Gravity as most of the weight in any car is down low, be interesting to see how much actual difference it makes, in normal driving very little and I suppose there is also a slight trade off point of view between a taller vehicle and a lower one on the road for what you can see over.

That sounds good anything over 16cm higher and I would of been out

Great real world daily. The A45 is just too low for bouncing about town in, bottoming out on speed bumps and parking bollards that don’t cause most cars a problem (fine on a GT3 or something but a bit ridiculous on what’s essentially a family hatchback even if it’s the quick one).

Interesting to see how they price this though; delivery mileage GLC63s being available for mid to low 50s doesn’t leave much room...
