BMW Drivers are more disagreeable?
Discussion
There was me thinking that I was involved in a self harming group by having a BMW..................I did cut myself fixing its suspension at the weekend. But looks like I got this thread wrong.
Actually its the wifes car........... I'll have to ask her about being the 'other' . Not sure I will survive........

Oops - it looks like I have a lot to live up to for starting this thread!

So many defensive indignant remarks from BMW drivers on this thread !
I must admit I cringe every time I see a BMW or Audi on the road (not because of the inevitable lack of use of indicators) but because it reminds me of years ago when I ran a team of nearly 200 senior engineers / middle managers who all got company cars. 50% of the issues they raised were along the lines: "I've been here longer than him why does his 3 series have xyz feature and mine doesn't, I need a better car or his needs down grading...". Of all the issues we had they would always make the most noise about some perceived one-upmanship someone had over them in their car. By contrast never heard a peep from all the Mazda, Peugeot, Jaguar, Ford, Volvo etc drivers who, in my opinion, had shown themselves to be individuals and hadn't simply followed the herd to keep up with the Joneses and have the "right" car on the drive to do so.
Hence when I see a BMW/Audi I cringe because it reminds me of all the petty squabbles from the staff that chose them. I'll forever associate those marques with a particular type of character person... and the research seems to support my view !

Only because of the daft things people say. Sounds like you were in charge of a very disheartened bunch. Sounds like leadership issues if they get upset with petty matters like that.
Maybe snotty comments like the one you've just posted is a big part of the issue in your team?

This made me LOL on a particularly grey and bleak train in this morning No point coming here to actually talk cars..
I thank you
Drawing you out and kicking you down Sideways is always a pleasure. And, yet is always surprisingly easy given your lacking automotive knowledge..

BMW drivers all seem to have very fragile egos if this thread is anything to go by!
Nah, it's just disappointing how circular this forum is becoming. Bash BMW for no reason or bash those that lease cars for no reason, thread gets personal, people are called s and it ends, only to be started up again by another identical thread.
Being repeatedly and wrongly called a for no reason on a forum is not that much fun, believe it or not.
Why can't this forum actually be about cars?

Your failure to answer multiple questions on numerous threads actually makes me think you know the square root of FA about anything.
And I do love your copy and paste ability. It seems like the only thing you can do.
Anyway, how's the Datsun? Got any trackdays or driving adventures booked? And what other cars have you owned/experienced oh wise one?

It really is sad that PH is full of people who have nothing better to do than try to antagonise people with "fragile egos".
I don't get upset, I think it's a sad reflection on the forum and even more so sad people that have to resort to this childish behaviour for a kick.

Nowhere near as defensive and cringe worthy as your post. You've been quite affected by your inability to control your troops and have now a well cemented yet irrational bias about the badge of a car. You would have to be on the spectrum to have such hatred for someone you don't know. I think you're repeatedly kicking yourself down with your low quality trolling. A sort of cyber self harming, if you like.
