Erm...ah...kinda like that....

Looks better from the back. You can't see the clashing interior and most of the inadvisable front mods.

Some serious side lights

Imagine that behind you on a dark night. Jeez.
Therefore you think that it is real ? ..........confusedbiggrin
It is a real car - I wanted to see more of that novel idea and hoped there were lunatics who hung chandeliers on cars such as that but it appears that's a one-off for a Lemons car rally: https://www.times-news.com/news/local_news/car-ent...

It looks to be modelled on a car from the film Escape from New York: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHZdEoOdIkQ

IIRC Liberace had them on his car - now owned by Beau of GAS.

I'm right!

I even kind of like the interior its got a 90s train seat vibe to it and it's weirdly nostalgic. The engine looks bloody lovely too. The only things I'd change are the front mount oil cooler and maybe the door mounted amplifiers. Otherwise I would definitely own and drive that, like an Abarth 595 it gets away with alot because its so cute.

They're not amplifiers, they're 3way crossovers for the 3way components in the doors.

Has it run over a Terminator?
Given that it's a W211 Merc, I suspect they just started sticking things on to cover each new rust bubble.

I’m no fan of fake anything, but replica/tributes also usually look badly proportioned. This one actually looks great. Shame it’s pretending to be something it isn’t, as do quite like what it is.

Ah, the heady days of customising in the ‘70s biggrin

Do you remember ‘Venom’, featured in Custom Car magazine? Found in an outbuilding near us after 25 years of hibernation smile
