I didn't realise the extent of the work to be fair.

To be honest I always get the impression very very few people seem to appreciate the work that goes into a lot of custom/modified cars that have featured in topics like this.

Not necessarily. You can put as many hours as you like into something, if someone thinks it's awful they're entitled to say so - however skilled and dedicated you might be. It's opinion on someone's taste, not their skill.

Not quite. I laughed at someone's fiesta project thread here, saying i appreciated the time and effort, but it was really not to my taste. And got banned for a month. Webber flipped in practice, and then teammate Peter Dumbreck flipped in the race. There were other GT1 flipping incidents in other races in that period as well.
