I've not owned any genuinely very highly regarded handling cars...but I'd say that the best one handling wise(ignoring the kerbweight) I've had was the E92 M3.

What was/is yours?

Ford Puma a close second

Racing Puma by a country mile in terms of ability - absolutely planted but very adjustable

Westfield V8 for fun, steerable on the throttle rather than by the steering wheel

Mitsubishi FTO GPvR. It was up there with the Clio 182 and Williams that I had prior, but I thought the FTO was fantastic.

Has to be one of my Elises, probably the S3 for all round ability.

In terms of "normal" cars, it's a difficult choice between a Puma 1.7 and a MG ZS180. Both much more than the sum of their parts.

Fisher Fury with a motorbike engine; it's hilarious.

Alfa Sprint (1.7 Cloverleaf) personally.

The smaller engined Suds such as the 1.2 Ti drove even sweeter of course.

Another one for the Ford Racing Puma.

Best brakes too!

996 Turbo a very close second; but brakes were an acquired taste...

Fiesta zetec s mk5, best handling and most fun car(s) I've owned (I've had a few).

Had an MR2 but it was a bit of a dog so never really got to grips with the mid engine handling.

I have a huge soft spot for the Racing Puma, and in my head, Ive dreamed about converting one to RWD....just.....because.....

My current Caterham is pretty spot on after full corners and Geo at DPR Motorsport, but my Fury9r was epic on track.....

S1 Elise. 205 XS and 106 GTI were also lovely.

C-Max and VW Bora less so!!!
