I'd rather have a standard car and extra money to do the mods myself if I wanted, personally. Some of the wheel choices are sometimes yuck
Fully agree. The RS6s always have the same crappy Maxton kit and Vossen wheels too.
For what it's worth, I think they are ghastly too (including that hideous M3 Touring). I'd much rather see a pristine low mileage original example model.

Seems to work for them though.

I bought a ticket for the Rev Comps GR Yaris as it was standard but not the one they had before as it was modified.

QB10 for a 10% discount on DCG is still working, if anyone is interested.

Thanks for that.

Havent entered the M3 comp on 7days, never been happy with how they rag the cars for social media videos during their running in service periods. Having had M cars in the past BMW are very keen on checking to see how you treated the car during the first 1200 miles for warranty purposes.

But why not ? If you win it you are winning a 30K car - change the bits you don't like ?

I still get text messages from a number of car comp sites. Unsubscribed from every single one I used in the past but they just keep rolling in.

I’m sure if you reported these to the ICO they would eventually stop.

Elite kept spamming me after I unsubscribed and contacted them. I just blocked them but I should probably put a complaint in.

File a complaint with the ICO, because their data systems and organisation is sloppy. Elite did exactly the same for me. I closed my account and requested that my data was deleted and destroyed etc. The reply within 15 minutes was simply a one-liner 'Thanks for your email. This has been done'.

A couple of weeks later a marketing email and text arrived. I emailed them and asked them to confirm if my data has been retained. 'Sorry, this one slipped through the net, we've definitely deleted you this time' was basically the answer.

Another email arrived a month later. ICO complaint filed.

When I won on Aspire it was the first time I'd bought from them. (I did buy three tickets though)

7days absolutely rinsing it with instant wins. Current one has 400k tickets. Comments on their FB page from people who have gambled £100s and won nothing, but will try again later in the week. Most of the prizes are just site credit so nothing of actual value. I can’t believe these sites can run these competitions effectively unregulated.

While the competitions have been somewhat stretching the legal boundaries of what is and isn't a lottery the instant win stuff is in another league. It's an absolute piss take.

I totally agree - I think they could really be hit hard with the instant wins.

Here is something interesting. Random number generators aren’t actually random. Although think it’s safe to assume that the big sites are using them honestly and as such the generation is random and the winner is fair.

“Random number generators are typically software, pseudo random number generators. Their outputs are not truly random numbers. Instead they rely on algorithms to mimic the selection of a value to approximate true randomness.”

On the instant win side of things though, the winning numbers are already determined and you’re relying on the completely private ticket allocation as being completely random.

I doubt it will be, even if there is no intent of wrong doing.
