Anybody won one of those car lotteries?

Fair point, I had not realised I was so unregulated.
It's probably been asked before...I always wonder with these, especially the smaller ones, how often they simply chuck a load of mates names into the hat for free.
They don't even need to rig the numbers or draw, a few free entries here and there and let statistics take care of the rest.
This site was mentioned some time ago...

Still claiming on their Facebook page that these are being drawn tomorrow. I can't see that happening, so it'll be interesting to see what they do. Their T&Cs seem to allow them to extend indefinitely.

A mate of mine started a motorcross/dirt bike one of these. As far as I can see they barely sold out the first competition and seem to have packed it in. Saturated much? I think people really underestimate the advertising required for such a venture.
Yeah a friend and I had the same idea starting with watches and tech before moving into cars - as soon as you start playing them you get hammered by adverts, in the trustpilot reviews of many sites you will see comments about how much they spend on advertising. Once you start getting the adverts yourself you see just how many sites there are

It's neigh on impossible to start up car/tech lottery site without a large pre-existing fan base. It could be incredibly lucrative mind, look at the Dreamcargiveaways balance sheet. Once you start getting the adverts yourself you see just how many sites there are

Avoid Bridges Classic Cars. They have had a niceish Merc 250 up for a few weeks. Nowhere near sold out so extended it by two weeks. Piss poor way to operate.
I will say that an acquaintance of mine has won 2 cars from them which makes me interested - that said pushing out an end date does seem somewhat poorDodgyGeezer said:

I think a lot of us have started with a particular site because of a mate ! Extending a draw and completely ignoring postals - two massive red flags, no thanks!

They caught my interest because they weren't offering the usual fare. I'd have gladly kept giving them my money but, when they extend dates, that's it for me. A lottery (because that's what it is) is a gamble. You put up the prize and a ticket price you think will earn you a profit, I consider if it's worth throwing away a few quid on and the likely chance I have of winning based on the tickets I think you will sell. Extending a draw and completely ignoring postals - two massive red flags, no thanks!
Changing the rules at the end of the draw is cheating. If they will do this, can you believe in the honesty of the draw?
