Also, that E39's bloody gorgeous!

I like the messing metallic 550i and I think it might be fun to try with the manual porridge stirrer. The price, not so much.
For those who haven’t seen it, the shed of the week comments thread is good this week - for many reasons, but especially the new style of sign off footer.

That e39 looks extremely smart. They are such well proportioned cars.

Apologies if this is in fact a dreadful old heap, my Merc beard is non existent, but I found it interesting...

It seems quite fascinating and the seller's apparent transparency, quite alluring.

Checking in. Can I self indulge with a seen before pic of my E39?

I've got a few bits to fit this weekend including rear discs, pads, shoes and front/rear ARB links and bushes. Last weekend was front suspension arms! I'm liking the car a lot more since I've spent some time working on it for some reason. Hoping it drives well after!

I'd suggest entering that for photo of the month. That E39 looks splendid.

Sensational.

Lot of elbow grease gone into that, I suspect!

Everything the E60 is not. And I actually quite like the E60!

When I saw that I went. Wow! Such a nice car, spec and you've kept it immaculate.
I've been busy so catching up on last 60+ pages today. Hopefully this volume I'll stay on the pace.

Stunning!

The 535 from the end of the last thread has potential, but would take some effort to look anything like that. (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202004168966912)

I so hope he comes here!

3.5k seems a lot for a C215, but with 69k on... Advert date is 2018.......

That's lovely. It would be perfect in estate form. I don't think I'll ever have a saloon again.

Needs reposting so not lost in the last thread:

I agree on two count though... The chav trough needs to be deeper and the E60 is well and truely stuck at the bottom of it right now.
I will do another version tomorrow. I must admit I was expecting a mild titter and nothing more, the level of critical analysis has demonstrated that I need to up my game!
Not at all, Usget, you've just forced us to raise ours! bow

A nice E39 T (decent size petrol engine only, pref auto) would be one of the few cars I can afford that would get me out of my 211.

Checking in, I've put my wker plate on my Convoy and the Century now has a regular 57 plate, both seem better for it.

Morning. Pissing down here and unleaded is 115p FYI, not that I have bought any.

My barge pursuit has hit another hurdle. It's not looking promising now. I shall elaborate in due course.

Congratulations mrpenks, ledger updated.

Such a gorgeously proportioned and designed car.
My favourite thread!

I always found my E39 t lacking in space after the W124 estate, even though it's felt massive in every other way.
