This is soooooo last volume, but I did spot this yesterday and thought of CdG.

Consider this the ferret to chase you, well and truly, out of the metaphoric rabbit hole.

That's a somewhat convoluted method of holding the exhaust up.

Or is the exhaust holding the tarp down and stopping the bodywork blowing away?

That's lovely. It would be perfect in estate form. I don't think I'll ever have a saloon again.
Thanks all! Quoted this reply as I just don't think the E39 Tourings look right and the only one I have ever driven drove poorly in comparison too. This may not be the case for all of them and I would still certainly buy one just because its an E39!

I'm on the hunt for some 18" M Parallel wheels as after 2 years I just can't make myself like the 17's and think the car really needs the 18's!

What is this photo of the week that was mentioned?

That's photographed in a scrapyard for a reason.

Looking at the photo, I like to think the tarp and exhaust are in equilibrium... Disturbing one shall have an equal and opposite effect on the other.

Did you take the photo Michael? That cab next to it looks intriguing.

That's a bit Zen, I was going to say for this time of day but we live in strange times and it's past 12

It's the 4-wheel-drive version, which is rare.

And as we all know in dealer parlance, rare = expensive.

If I was going to blow 7.5k for 4 wheel drive that'll break it's got to be FFRR

True the e39 saloon is a much more resolved design.
The e34 however looks the biz as an estate variant.

Agreed. Though spending £7.5k on a FFRR that's had all the usual suspects fixed might well be a good bet.

Trouble is, I keep looking at the damn things for around £4k. Let's face it, a four-grand Rangie will break, and likely take my heart with it.

So I'll continue to idly browse.

I know what you mean, I'd love a RR but after watching 2 of my brothers lose their patience with them, both of which had far more of it than me I just lust from a safe distance
