a one way flight, collection and drive home would be rather fun.
I agree. Would you mind trading it for an interesting car over the weekend then selling me that? Ideally a W140 S600 but almost any Merc will do.
Got a 1973 350 SLC that might face the same fate. That do yer, guv?

I've even had the heater fixed so you won't freeze your balls off on the autoroute.

Surely it can't be beyond the wit of man to economically get a piece of exhaust from the UK to you CdeG? Crumbs.

Because some of us can afford to drive the barge to the shop to buy more cheese, or we can afford to buy more cheese, but not both!
I’m wondering, would the perfect threadist model be:

- The tax status of CdG
- He has good fuel prices, but do we have a Middle Eastern regular with 9ppl (or whatever it is?)
- 2Manycars income
- The spannering skills of, err, quite a few people here, and
- The magnetic attraction of good deals like Oa and that G Wagen

Because that would seem like a lot of cheese potential...
I like that we’ve now moved onto a potential cheese scale rather than the crass spare money approach.
With the added benefit of a wiff/pungency axis.
I have bits of car in the kitchen, and a couple of cheeses that I've been compelled to keep in the garage.

So, from that we can conclude, err...

Failing all else, I'll get a dealer-provided exhaust fitted by my local garage. The real issue is continued spending on a RHD car in a LHD country. It's all possible, but it's not necessarily sensible.

True, and I do sympathise on that front.

Yes, cheese is the better currency; may I suggest Munster for its excited feminine aroma?

My old P2 T5 auto had a lifetime average of 28 I think. Exactly the same as the current Lexus as a matter of fact. That's my benchmark for what is 'average'.
Ahem. It's now doing about 26 on average. That'll be my lead-soled right shoe.

I have already got a 107 in the fleet, I drove it just at the weekend. By drove I mean pushed it out of the garage and back in.

If anyone buys it I am up for joining the resulting road trip.....

I just acquired a cassette to aux adapter. I remember having one of these in my very first car, remarkably low tech - cost the grand total of £1.49. I have to say, the quality is quite remarkable. I have only listened to it sitting in my drive and so don't know if I will get quite a lot of interference when driving, but have to say I am impressed.

Come on, we all know CDG really wants to take this prime opportunity to buy a new barge!

The exhaust is a mere bagatelle

Ah, kitchen car bits. There's a Honda thread on here somewhere with this picture. Ballsy. Or single. Or both.

Hi mate.

Give these guys a shout: https://www.tonybanks.co.uk/exhausts/ Fingers crossed they can get one made for you and get it shipped out.

Tony is always doing exhausts for some kind of Lexus so know all about what's needed. Tony came highly recommended via the Lexus UK forums and I've used them in the past too when I had my GS. Super value and top notch work.

Barges are expensive here. Well, everything is expensive here. A V60 is on the list.

I'm all for a cheese scale, but I'm already worrying about the excited feminine aroma.

Living on the mainland, you have surely tried a bit of Munster / Muenster?

Tony Bank has (had?) 2 different quality levels, with differing costs. Worth checking if you’re planning on keeping the car long term.

I had my Ls400 Y pipe replaced for £500 I think by powerflow in Slough - decent enough job but It never quite sounded the same, I think inherent with different types of stainless.

So I've decided to get the belts and water pump done on the 75, for peace of mind for our long trip next month. I can justify it as the car would still only be due me around £1300, which is less than the cheapest one on AT. £560 for peace of mind seems worth it to me.

Gonna get him to diagnose the steering squeak as well.

A trip to Poland for the part or mailed from there is probably the easiest and cheapest option
