E32 7 Series. At 35 yrs old I'm strangely drawn to these at the moment! I think it's because the shape reminds me of my dads old E34 530i from 1989. Anyone had first hand experience of them? Beleive the later 730 and 740 V8s had nikasil issues but no vanos. This one looks lovely.

I am struggling to believe every 7 is now "worth" a min of thread max, although it seems hard to find many for less. Although many, many have been advertised for genuinely years. Like the one on C&C more recently than one you linked to. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1228343
And even those at a sensible price. Perhaps it's the 175k putting people off. Or just that not everyone with even £2200 wants an old thirsty barge...

Well its incredible how much some tyre spray can add to a picture. But when pic 2 shows the bonnet and wing not meeting, for 160% of thread max, even with low miles, they can keep it. Edited by Macron on Friday 10th July 08:10

My immediate reaction was Michael Myers from the original Halloween film.Krikkit said:
To be honest I'd rather see that than a leaper bodged on the outside. Secretive Geraldry which is a 10 minute process to rid the car of, that's fine.
There will be a significant overlap with the people who tend toward Geraldry, and those who are into Heraldry.Coincidence? You be the judge!
The guy who has his entirely imagined family crest on the wall next to the proud historic map of whichever no-mark county he's from. Keeps his Jaguar keys on the 'telephone table'. Has a phone directory and uses it. That guy.

This made me laugh a lot Coincidence? You be the judge!

Stinky diesel, check.
Boring colours, check.
Remarkably competent long distance cruiser, check.
F01 7 series really are getting close to thread. Cheapest 750 is 150% of thread max still.

This would probably make a nice thing with a remap.

Nice, the only grumble is the BMW model badging making no sense with a 523i having a 3.0 litre engine. Bring back a 523i actually being a 2.3, I remember when all this was fields etc. This would probably make a nice thing with a remap.

Just needs a wider angle, to include the car port and full set of Hozelock gardening accessories in the wicker basket you got on that holiday to Tenby when Peter and Barbara were betrayed by the clearly malevolently malfunctioning satnav and went to Tenbury Wells instead.ajprice said:
