Recently got my first seven; a 1.8 k series 190 hp built by Dave Andrews. I’m waiting for the rain to stop (I live in wales…)but on limited driving it’s just a joyful thing.
A bit similar to me. I've had my 1.8 k series(only 140bhp though) since September, but I've only managed to get out in it a few times. I'm hoping that will change over the next few weeks now the weather is picking up a little bit though.

I'm more of a fair weather driver if I'm honest, even though I do get that a Caterham will be loads more fun in the wet in fairness.

Thanks, mate. I definitely will take it on track. Unfortunately, working for the country’s largest race circuit operator means that I will never live it down when I inevitably run out of talent and bin it.
I've never spun mine.....not trying hard enough!
I've spun on track several times, but the Caterham telegraphs loss of grip quite well so I've caught it so far. in the dry at least!!
give it a go.
you've got the best engine there, K series is awesome.

I’m the same - no roof or even shower cap so I just take it out on sunny days for a thrash about.

I love the K. Had a less extreme version in my Exige; the way they rev and that sawtooth bark…so addictive.

I will track the R500 at some point. Not a big priority at the minute with work and family life. It’s extremely lively so you do become used to the back moving around, even when driving pretty gently on the road.

I half spun my first Caterham many years ago - a VX Classic. A fresh faced 21 year old in the damp on CR322 tyres. 1/4 throttle off a roundabout and missed a telegraph pole by inches...

It was a life lesson - never done it since. But a Caterham in the wet needs caution.
