couldn't agree more. Serious respect.
I had a 4200GT for three years. Loved the engine and soundtrack, hated the awful gearbox (and the CC auto shift on those was a lot better than the 3200 auto).
£10k is brave money for a privately-sold leggy 3200 which has done few miles since 2017..
Looks like the slush box really sucks the life out the performance when you look how fast a modern day auto like the M140i is ( similar weight )I had a 4200GT for three years. I wouldn’t be too snooty about any Korean affiliations...
Italdesign styled a concept coupe for Daewoo as a proposed halo model – the Bucrane.
Any plans to greenlight production were ultimately kiboshed by Daewoo’s then-VP of engineering, Ulrich Bez (whose next role would be CEO of Aston Martin).
Allegedly, Italdesign revised the Bucrane and offered the restyled version to Fiat.

I think these are fantastic-looking cars, but very colour-specific.
And most definitely the nicest set of rear lights ever fitted to a modern production car - the only design which gets remotely close, on a smaller scale, are the rear LED lights on an X350 Jaguar.
Seems these floating around under the £10k mark for quite some time, but some horror stories do put me off. I suppose it is the case with most cars - you can buy a lemon and live to regret it, or you might get lucky and buy a good one, with no serious issues.
Great Brave Pill.

The pills don't come much braver than this
I've been trying to get a mate to buy one for years, it would have appreciated a few thousand by now if he had, which might have helped offset the annual maintenance
Got the impression that a sensible rule of thumb was every time something went wrong, it would be at least £1,000
So cool though

I seem to remember the Automatic may be less borky due to the manual having a coupling or plate in the transmission causing expensive problems?
Yes, you get problems with end float on the crankshaft on the manuals, due to the axial load the clutch puts on it, which don't occur on the autos, allegedly.NGK210 said:

I always thought that the 3200 looked better than the 4200. The bonnet had the lovely vents which gave out a good heat haze after a drive, the A pillar is blended into the front wing instead of a panel gap, then of course the lights.
My Grandad ran one for a couple of years. Argentine Blue with cream inside. Sounded great on start up and went well. I loved driving it when i was in my 20's!
As with any premium car, keep the maintenance up and drive it, and it should serve well. You won't get much better for the money.
