AMG from the original poll for me, but..

It might have been more interesting to ask, "This is my current stock, which would you pick for a year's free motoring?"

My choice would be this: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
Would rather have either this one:

Or

Exige for me too.

R33 GT-R Autech version without doubt.

The corvette is American junk which is way too old to corner
The AMG is a predictable YouTuber car.

Had to go for the AMG GT

Had it been a 58-62 Vette or an R32 Skyline it would have been a different answer.

Later model c1 is beautiful cloud9

Exactly the same thoughts here.
I'd choose the C1 Vette but not the C1 Vetter the OP listed.

Based purely on the listed cars, the AMG GT would be my choice and be my new daily.

Do I have other cars i.e. can I keep my current garage in this scenario?
Or is the one you are lending me my only car?

Corvette C1 if I have another car, AMG GT if it's the only car.
Sure, keep your current stuff, this is just a loaner.
Cool! Corvette it is then!!

£60,000 for a R33. I'll have what they are smoking. You would have to be off your rocker to spend that kind of money on a 33. Owned a 33 GTR and not that exciting or special.

C1 is nice but no stingray.

No love for the GT either

Convertible Corvette would have been an easy win for me. The hard top 'vette wins only because I'd be embarrassed to be seen in the other two.

I voted for the AMG but didn't open up the corvette link - having done so i'd definitely have that. Strange selection though biggrin

I'd go for the Skyline I reckon, because it reminds me of my old S14a 200SX because it has the same steering wheel!

Careful where you go with that - the Nisaay Sunny has the same instrument binnacle.....

Hmm for me; if it was the only car I had access to the AMG.

If it was the only car I had access to but lived somewhere warm close to a beach the Corvette.

This one took some thought... so you might smell some burning!

As this is hypothetical contest, I can't normally bring myself to spend much on me:

I still need to go to work (assuming WFH ends at some point and I return to the office), I love old cars, but I would feel guilty about taking the Corvette on my daily driving in the rain, road muck, but the engine noise would be worth it on its own. Just think I would get tired of it on modern roads with an hour in traffic every night, I also have concerns if I would fit in it!

The Skyline, love them, the engines are glorious, a friend used to import things like this from Japan a few years ago, they are just so capable, but it just isn't for me, I can understand why people love them though.

Then there is the AMG GT, I could never buy myself something like this, I would replace all the families cars before even thinking of doing that. However, since we are in daydream land, and for me this would be the one; it would be fine in the rain, it would start in winter, I can fit in it. Also I am sure the future Mrs Bear would not complain too much about it, or maybe the engine noise might drown out the complaint; any excuse for revs smile. the neighbours would love the exhaust when I fired up that 8 cylinder up each morning at early o'clock.

Do I get a choice on the colour? if so, I would like it in blue please. So when will it be delivered?

Excuse my ignorance but Corvette C1...is that original Americana 'vette? If so, wrap mine up and park it up, I'll be down tomorrow. I can think of no better way to de-stress, no better car for my mental health than that one from the list. Stunning cars that engender happiness and smiles. And people would let me out at junctions...

I know very little about the Corvette, so I looked it up. Some models had a 2 speed auto spin
Yup, only 2 speeds, 1) flat out and 2) crash biggrin

AMG for me.

However, if you'd picked well spec'd R33 GTR coupe, I'd probably have chosen that instead.
