One rear light not fully working on a just launched model.
Or maybe the kind of thing that produces the "flickering" effect on LED lighting when it's filmed on high frame rate cameras, if the shutter speed on that photo is quick enough.
I’d say that’s exactly what that is.

While I agree this is likely the effect of frame rates and camera-trickery, I have seen rather a lot of new JLR vehicles with failed tail light modules in the flesh. Brand new RRS or Velars, with the portion of the tailgate-mounted tail lights not working on one side, dynamic indicators that are malfunctioning or failed portions of the individual LED assemblies.

To be fair it may be like other modern vehicles where the main lamp goes offline to make way for the indicator.

Not sure if I phrased that properly but it does look odd.

I suppose it is so the indicator does not get drowned out by the main lamp.

I would think the owner will be delighted if that’s the only problem he has with the car…..

L460 tail lights don't extinguish for indicator conspicuity; they're permanently lit.

The faults I've seen on JLR vehicles are all actual faults, not functions of design.

Spotted the owner of a local pub with his plate.

PU55 0WL.

Given his pub is called the Owl and Pussycat I thought it was pretty cool.

It's the 3x1 version and his surname.

YMMV.

SF90 spotted today in Canary Wharf. Rather a un-Ferrari shade of blue I thought... still, looked pretty ace though.
