Couldn't tell you when it was last sold and for how much, but it was issued in Manchester in March of 1932 and has been on current vehicle since February of 2016.

Now I need a wise person for this. The owner of a local MX5 specialist on a BMW 5 series has
MX 51 SEL spaced to MX5 1 SEL. Is this a good (it is clever IMHO) or a bad plate due to spacing, I can't quite decide...

Is anyone able to see if JDA 1E has ever been issued please? Apparently on a Mini at some point (not 100% sure) but not registered to anything.
Also is there a way to find who owns a retained plate? Many thanks

It was sold in April 2008 for £1700 + VAT Etc So must be on retention now with no public information available to find out who too.

I presume that people who get calls from plate buyers/sellers out of the blue must be having their details searched on the DVLA database by said buyers/sellers...

I was thinking that searches of owners' details from vehicle registrations must be being done under some sort of 'legitimate interest' clause within the terms of service of those granted access to the DVLA database - like parking enforcement companies etc. - as how else would people get a call out of the blue to ask about selling their reg plate?!

You may be right.

I am sure that at least one person on this thread has posted that they got a random call about their plate!

Perhaps it's one of those things that we express an interest once and we're on the books for the rest of time lol
