And I thought this was a cool survivor

I like that. A late one as well as 1978

For those that don't know, this is a 1978 Co. Galway, Ireland plate that escaped the Republic prior to 1987
You sure?

Not a 64/65 Belfast plate?

11 AM today in Paddington on a Cayenne, iirc

But at 5pm, so it’s true that it’s only correct once a day.

I'd be surprised if that isn't owned by BMW. Excellent plate
On that theme I saw a newish 7 series recently with the plate 1 BMW, near Farnborough where BMW are based so likely their car.

T 8 on a run of the mill Alfa Romeo in Fleet.

Driven by a sweet old lady too!
Used to be a regular customer of mine at the pub I ran just outside Fleet.

Dark green 147?
That's the one, I've seen it on a driveway in Fleet, can't remember where abouts it lives though. Was nice to see it out and about.
I see that quite often around Fleet, always makes me smile.

Very cool but the font makes it look like a HK plate?!

Although it’s a 2001 car, the plates may have been transferred from a previous car the owner had, in which case they’d most like be the pre-2001 Charles Wright font.

That’s my guess anyway.

Last week I spotted RJL 87 on a Ferrari

Today, I parked next to this

Talking to the driver he said they both belonged to his son in law

Interestingly it shows as untaxed

It looks correct for its age in terms of font size/dimensions.
