Each to their own.
What's good about it though? It's rubbish and doesn't belong in here at all. POP 9Y - I think of Popeye
VKE 5 - Absolutely no idea, but presumable someone knows.
14A - Absolutely no idea
CRA 1G - I think of Craig
SJB 2 - Absolutely no idea
1BOD - Absolutely no idea
111MS - Absolutely no idea
M25 JAM - I think of the continuous traffice jams on the M25
DEC1 - on a Jag XJL, what is the significance?
Two I may have posted previously were
K9DOG - Back of a Range Rover by a kennel owner
One I dont think I post but may have in earlier editions and I hought was clever, SEP1A, may be lost of some but was on a van used by a local photographic studio, and there is a process called "Sepia Toning", so being a keen photographia it meant something to me.
And the one in question which looks like 0007LED made me think of James Bond.
So maybe looking at those above, to which some to me anyway are meaninless, can you clarify the definition of a real good number plate. but of course its down to the individuals how they intepret the plate.
To be fair a lot you cite above are easily people’s initials.

I agree with you. My test being when I look around the company car park, clock the private regs and even knowing my colleagues names I cannot align any of them with their names. I can’t even guess if they’re supposed to be interests. Eg K9. Something crops up everywhere for dog people or on dog walking vans. But no, not a clue.

As are mine, I had a Volvo S80, and got S80 and my initials, volvo drivers would appreciate it.To be fair a lot you cite above are easily people’s initials.

To me, plates that are dateless / short plates, decent original plates, initials plates and plates that say things are all good.
The OO07 LCD plate is just a cheap DVLA one. I think James Bond / OO7 ones are the worst!
I'll move on now as I just a saw a couple I liked.

Nice McLaren and the plate of course, looks the paintwork wouldn’t make it hard to spot. Take care.To me, plates that are dateless / short plates, decent original plates, initials plates and plates that say things are all good.

I’ve always quite liked an eye catching short suffix plate, either with all the same letters or just an unusual looking combination. Normally a fair bit cheaper than dateless plates but still look pretty decent.
These are all coming up in future auctions…
I have a three straight letter 1X currently for sale. Be interesting what the UUU one goes for. I mean not the greatest letter but it’s still three of the same. These are all coming up in future auctions…

There’s a couple in that auction I’d really like. I missed out on RT66 USA a few years back, bidding went too high for me. WIWs said:

I'm hoping to get the WWW 2W plate but I know realistically bidding will go too highrich12 said:
Are their specific names for the layout of a plate?
If I wanted to buy a plate that was something like 2939 RD, how can I search for that format rather than having to search through 100,000 dateless plates?
Some plate selling sites have a search function ,put in RD and it should come up with a selection .If I wanted to buy a plate that was something like 2939 RD, how can I search for that format rather than having to search through 100,000 dateless plates?

I've never bought anything from these guys, but I find their search layout is miles better than most other sites. If I wanted to buy a plate that was something like 2939 RD, how can I search for that format rather than having to search through 100,000 dateless plates?

Re the 'S 24' plate on the Landrover posted on the previous page by Petrus1983 and it not being recognised (I've just tried it on the .gov MOT check), what is the cause of this? Is it simply the car owner making up a plate of their fancy and using it in the knowledge that they won't get caught unless in an accident or similar, only putting the correct reg plate on the car for MOT? Or is it a genuine plate but there is some technical reason that it doesn't show up?
Apologies for the slight thread-drift.
