You know, the iX is really growing on me . It’s ugly but almost sort of elegant … it’s quite a smooth design which helps it somewhat, reminds me of the early E65 Bangle butt 7 series

No chance. BMW’s ‘design’ direction is dire. It’s not even quirky like some cars (past and present), just fugly (yeah, design’s subjective etc…)
