There’s someone near me who has/had a great plate. I wouldn’t mind it. It’s no longer showing as taxed/MOT’d or on ask mid. Does it just mean it’s now on retention or has it gone forever?
The system doesn't show if a number is on on Retention but a abandoned vehicle usually shows up as Sorn/last taxed and last MOT expiry..?

A beauty today in Eastbourne.

UP 2

...on a red VW UP driven by a very elderly gentleman. I wonder which came first, the car or the plate.

Just get the vehicle details could not be found. Must be on retention. The plates too good just to have been scrapped. Last seen on a Range Rover.

Sorry for the bad pics, the first two really have to be real good plates.

I have wasted a considerable amount of my life on the 1-5k barge thread. No more, it got modded out of existence and now praises diesel which is a shame. As is this not being on something more appropriate.

Spotted yesterday in Hampshire. Fester was immaculate, but I suspect still worth many times less than its plate!

that's quite a combo on a run of the mill 35 y.o Ford!

It is when the plate was only sold 21 y.o for £4200 + the bits...

Do I win the Sunday morning walk plate spot ...Walked around a corner and spotted it tucked up on the drive of a fairly normal 4 bed !
I’d say yes. As 1D went for £285K + bits in the March 2009 Auction, if he/she bought this then that would have accounted for 4 more bedrooms!laugh
D1 is an original issue now owned by a chauffeuring company - as documented by our Sir Bagalot on his site!

Maybe someone could confirm my thought that the plate was bought prior to the car being produced ?

1998 ones were badged Jimny here weren't they?

Looks awesome mind.

Often wondered if a rear plate being obscured by a tow hitch is a problem, legalities anyone? Not moaning about that car, just curious. There are plenty of them about.

Also saw 3 DE not much before that.
