What MPH is 7,000rpm in 5th on one of these cars? Spotted a couple of sections where he is pushing up to that level.

Also would anyone like to buy a car that is driven as hard as this, on camera so who knows how it’s driven otherwise. He’s on the limiter countless times - does that log in the engine mgt system as “over rev”?
That's really not being driven hard at all. You can't over rev a PDK either - Porsche are pretty clever at not letting you blow things up if they can program it not to, it'll just ignore the request for the downshift.

PDK and PDK S gearboxes can result in an engine being overevved.

By hanging onto the lower gears when descending a steep decline.

The GT2 RS engine by Porsche standards being turbo and extremely torquey is not particularly high revving.

‘Over revs’ are when the engine speed is above the limiter. The report might include the number of times the limiter was reached, but that’s not an ‘over rev’.

I must have missed something but he doesn’t look to be driving the car particularly hard to me.
7,000r in 5th gear in a GT2RS - you don’t think that’s particularly hard.

I’m guessing until someone can provide the gear ratios but I’d imagine top end of 5th is 160+mph easily on the public road.

Actually this chap may have a chance of beating that IOMTT Suburu time #canofworms
Nope, I don’t think hitting 7000rpm is particularly hard on the car. To answer your earlier question, it’s not something that would worry me enough to avoid buying one second hand.

There is no excuse for driving like that on public roads.

And the video you linked to, the guy was killed in car accident.

2:12 is just utterly mad driving, no wonder that guy is dead, hopefully he didn't take anyone with him... and there's some random guy crossing the road with a gun in his hand.

Nice.

Am I the only person who watched it and then realised that it was seven minutes of my life that I’ll never get back?

They were driving like knobs but it didn’t seem mental.

Interestingly the cars are all German registered and appear to be playing in Poland? Much more lax policing perhaps?
Not quite sure where you got that from - they are Georgian plates.

Yes, I didn't see it as "crazy" driving particularly. A bit spannerish maybe, but just my opinion.
That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. smile
I can't really see, other than a slightly late overtake with an unsighted van, anything remotely crazy about that at all to be honest. My real concern would be the quality of the road, it looked awful in places, hence the wrong lane being used multiple times (as did the Subaru) but nothing to inflict such hatred as others have said in terms of life changing injuries, it looked fairly remote and they looked like they knew the place pretty well.
If they had been forced by other traffic to use the rotten bit of road at some of those speeds then I would say that could all have ended in a very different way.

Not clever, lucky.

What country is it? Have some nice roads.
Great driving roads, at first I thought it was the Italian Apennines but the roads are definitely in Georgia, could only find 2 of the places on the road sign

Slightly misleading thread title. Was a leisurely drive until about 6 mins...
