To which I replied not everyone wants 2 cars for a variety of reasons.
Sorry if that was written in a way you found it difficult to understand.

Not true. What I suggested was buying a cheaper saloon and spending the rest on "something else". Nothing about a second car whatsoever.Either way, some people don't want "modest" and want something more. Nothing wrong with that. I appreciate some don't like that idea, but I can't see why it's hard to fathom why someone wants something more. Likewise of you deem, say, a 300bhp petrol about the sweetspot I'm sure someone else out there would say "that's over the top and I don't see the point, why not get a 150bhp car and spend the rest on something else?".....

That said, I'm not sure if the scaffolding is just the RS model, and not the normal GT3?

That said, I'm not sure if the scaffolding is just the RS model, and not the normal GT3?
And anyone who thinks a GT3 without a cage isn't cool doesn't realise what can happen to their head when a car ends tits up.
GT3 clubsports have cages GT3 comforts do not. GT3 RS comfort specs do not.

Conversely my friends 911 convertible has managed to work perfectly fine and has done so for many years now, it’s never failed her once, but I can understand you being put off if the one you tried was broken and didn’t work. Bit harsh to judge them all on your single experience though don’t you think?
I have had many 911's from a 964 Targa, 993 C2 Cab, 996 C2, C4s, C4s Cab, 997 Turbo, 997 Turbo S cab and successfully lost money on all . I then decided to go to GT cars as they seamed to hold their prices. I got a 991 GT3 which was awesome I tried to chop it in for a new GT3 RS to be told I had no hope. At the time List price was £130K ish. I was later offered one for £240K ( good old flipping ). A few years later I bought one for £160K and it was also awesome loved it. This year when the new 992 GT 3 came out I tried to buy one, ha ha no way not on the list sir, again they are being flipped for crazy money. Getting to the point, I sold my GT3 RS and bought a 600LT MSO Spider. The car is fantastic took it to the South of France drove great. It also got over all the speed humps, they seam to love down there, with the help of the front lift system. The McLaren definitely is not as easy to drive as every day driver. I have curbed the wheels which I never did with the Porsches, and I miss four wheel steer, also you have to be careful where you park with the doors. So I have moved from a Porsche customer to a McLaren customer and I'm very happy.
