As the owner of a 172 Cup and Series 3 Land Rover I particularly enjoyed this pic:

A great combo

Love my little 182 more than words.
A few well chosen mods on these car turn the enjoyment factor up to 11 too.

Good stuff, I have just got mine out to play about three days ago. I hadn't driven it for months - I had forgotten how much pure fun they are, even in comparison to an FK2 Type R. Sadly it will be up for sale at a later date, its just a bit of an expensive paperweight at the moment. Love it to bits, it's even got a lovely re-trimmed steering wheel instead of the usual melted offerings!

It's a shame that the 182 in this fleet is modified so much from OEM, it's nice that he enjoys driving it ( I sort of gathered through the waffley prose ) but makes it less useful as a yardstick for anyone considering buying one.
Most of these Clios are probably modified in some way now, so having a modified one on the fleet is probably pretty sensible!
For 99% of buyers in the Clio marketplace the right modifications are a big selling point and some are seen as essential like the uprated dog bone mount, engine mount etc

Same here! Absolutely love my 172, similar spec to Sam's with Bilstein B14's, Whiteline arb etc but I work in live music so it will have to go soon frown

Mine took a trip on the recovery vehicle yesterday, just conked out then wouldn't start, haven't a clue what's wrong with it.

Initial diagnostics proved inconclusive, hopefully find out tomorrow from the garage what's up with it.

And makes it more useful for people interested in sympathetic modifications to improve the car.
Indeed. All parts mentioned would be on my shopping list if I ever scratch the RS Clio itch.
