And in one fell swoop - I have literally lost every ounce of desire for this car.

Then...

Do you honestly, honestly think someone would really take a dislike for a car, based on the appearance of a YouTuber in a promo video? Seriously?
You are contrarian for the sake of being an arse. Thanks for spamming the thread with your envy and jealously.

He literally couldn’t be bothered to do anything more than quote you. That how little he, or anyone else I’d imagine, cares about your post.
And yet........ you cared enough to reply.

That’s absolutely incredible. What an amazing car.

I do find it interesting that Mercedes can do this with AMG and yet BMW have no horse in this race with M Power.

Is a performance car with an autotragic tranny something you'd actually desire anyway? Come on mate you're a biker - road feel and engagement and all that

I'm not the biggest fan of Shmee or Doug DeMuro, but once you get past their whiny annoying voices and playing to the gallery (DeMuro: OH MY GOD this car has a heated steering wheel), they have some informative content.

That said, I only watch every 10th video or so they do cos I can't handle the packing of said content
I'd have this in a heartbeat! Haha! And good memory on the biker front, but the paddle-shifter in this (NEVER full auto - I'll still decide when to change myself thanks!), performs the exact same way as the quickshifters in my racebikes. Bang, bang, bang up or down on the gear lever on the bike - no clutch: bang, bang, bang left or right paddle in this with no clutch, exact same process and 'feel'. The only time we EVER think about the gearbox on a bike is if it's broken (or a f***ing false neutral - looking at you Honda!) - it's there to do a job and do it as quick as possible, so we can get on with trying to get past that b@stard in front of us! wink I never did understand this fixation on the 'feel' or 'engagement' of twiddling a stick poking out of the floor - if that is where you are getting your thrills from when driving a fast car...... you ain't going fast enough! Haha!

And yeah, the DeMuro guy seems to be the American Schmee - I'm afraid I simply just can't get over the voices! Apparently though, this means that I am both 'jealous' and 'envious' (always important to hit BOTH bases!), though I'm unsure as to how that explains why I am such a massive fan of Harris, Metcalfe or Catchpole. Having said that, I also subscribe to Hubnut, Tyrell's, Bad Obsession, Danny DC2 and CarPervert...... flash b@stards the lot of them, can't stand them! laugh

Jeezuz, looking down my list I also have Carwow, Salvage Rebuilds UK, Car Throttle, Car Wizard, 44 Teeth, Monky London, Hoovies Garage, Tavarish, Mighty Car Mods, Darkside Developments, Samcrac, LegitStreetCars, Visordown, Rob Dahm, Drivetribe, Rich Rebuilds, Aging Wheels, Jay Leno, Cleetus McFarland and on and on and on. But no, no, no......... I can say what I like about ANY of them, but DARE say a single word against 'The Schmee', then I deserve to be burned at the stake.

The PH forum....... it's a funny old place! wink

Keep the rubber side down anyway man! biggrin

I'll check out those channels thanks! And your name has the latter half of "Ducati" in it, so how could I forget? wink

Re: Racebikes - those still have a clutch that is used at the start though, so its different. I give a similar pass to WRC cars and cars like the Caterham 620R that have a clutch used initially, and then clutchless shifts while on the move.

If you don't love stirring the stick on the floor, you don't love wking enough wink But seriously though, for me its about the ability to use the clutch more than it is holding the stick per se (though I love that too).

I recently rode a BMW S1000RR M-Sport, and I have zero problems with that bike (though not using the clutch on downshifts felt a bit strange, and SLIGHTLY less engaging) because its still a manual bike, just modified for speed.

and re: going fast enough, last weekend I drove a PDK GT3 on track, and for the first time in my life, I would not have wanted a manual as the track was very very tight and twisty. However on the road, I definitely appreciate a proper manual as its more engaging when one isn't driving/riding at 10/10ths

If the Euro millions numbers come up tonight, I'll take one in silver or blue, that quasi race car look is right up my street.

Quite.

Although I'm not convinced it's "more" than a 720S.... Those things seem to beat anything, in a drag race between it and an F8 Tributo the 720S was noticeably faster!

Just watching Tim's latest video and interesting that it has switched to a flat plane crank explains why it sounded odd in the video.

Just watched Robert Mitchell's video on the leak, it seems the person who leaked it could be in trouble (I have had a look about to see who it was, but I don't know) about to watch Tim's video on the car.

DragTimes got 700bhp at the wheels from their stock 720S on a dyno - the quoted 720 is likely closer to 780 in reality - which will be why it runs 9s when every other supercar still runs 10s.

The forthcoming 765LT might be closer to 850 in practice, which is nuts for the price. New hybrid Ferrari SF90 is also going to run 9s I would have thought, then it's just the $1m hypercars that can break into the single digits.
